Let’s talk About: Prestiges 2.0 skins

Welcome to "Let's Talk About: Designs", it's a project I want to start where I talk and give my opinion about skins.

From before I must say that I am not the most professional designer, or anything like that, I am just an artist who loves the art of League Of Legends, and I will give my personal opinion, if you do not share my opinion, it is totally fine, and I I would love to read your opinion

And to start these blogs, I'm going to talk about the prestigious 2.0 skins that have been quite unique.

Let's start talking about the origin, the first skin was Kai'sa K/DA, during the worlds of 2018. The premise of the prestigious skins was like an alternate version of the corresponding universe of the skin. They did not count as AU canonical skins. The colors that dominated the prestigious 1.0 were gold and white, being colors of purity, elegance, etc.

The outfits were variants of the same suit or design of the character, but they changed details and the color palette, they rarely used other colors than gold and white, although some prestigious 1.0 used other colors, for example: "Prestige Ascended Pantheon" the which had blue skin, and used light blue colors and a little bit of the rainbow. Another example is "Prestige Battle Cat Jinx" which used pink colors with white and gold

While there were many good skins in terms of prestigious, there was always a discussion about these, and it was "they look like chromas." Since in recent times where there were still 1.0, the prices had increased, and the pass system had changed a lot, it was quite stressful to farm event pieces to get a prestigious skin, and there were still the old "prestige points"

Some members of Riot had heard the complaints and had raised a new idea, from changing the prestige points to mythical essence, which would be used to buy prestigious skins and hextech skins, on top of that, they wanted to separate from the concept they had, golden chromas with splasharts and golden icons

So they opted for a new idea, and from there the prestigious 2.0 was born. Whose concept was "high fashion", which separated the prestigious ones from their AU, the story behind the skins went from being a variant of the original lore, to being high fashion models

The color palette of the 2.0 was very experimental, since they mixed a lot of colors, in addition to making completely new and different splasharts and icons, but how do we know that they are prestigious? Well, Riot made a very smart move and made their own version of the Louis Vuitton brand, creating a logo and pattern that represented the "prestige" of the skins.

Although the new concept was liked by the majority, they did not have the best reception, being a completely different and experimental change, there was a lot of controversy, the most talked about was "but they don't seem to be from "X" universe" and this was explained with the reason that "they are high fashion skins". Basically, they took the base theme, and modernized it to make it look more fashion or runway.

Another controversy was that the prestigious 2.0 felt too poor to cost 125 mythical essence, since it changed the effects and design completely.

Personally, I liked them a lot, at first I didn't like them or fascinate them, because I was of the mentality that "Prestigious eclipse Senna doesn't look like an eclipse", after a while I started to like them, I found them pretty, besides the splasharts They seemed incredible to me. Without a doubt I really like the concept and originality behind the new prestigious 2.0, I really feel that they can explore a lot of modern designs regardless of the theme, since they are completely different

Not to mention that I love that sparkle pattern they have now, I've liked most of the prestigious 2.0s, I'm not completely a fan of most of them, but I can give them all something good
