never in my LIFE did i think id see such a well-written way of expressing what happens to people who are dehumanized oh my god. esp poc!!! heathcliff had classism and colorism working against him, and was straight up abused most of his life but bared it all for the sake of catherine. which. no shade to catherine she's fine as fuck but to me personally she was such a clear... representation of white validation. heathcliff didn't see her for that, heathcliff would be madly in love with catherine regardless, but that was really prominent for me personally. it's just herhrhrhhhrh NO WONDER THAT MAN IS SUCH AN ASS!!! NO WONDER HE IS SO QUICK TO AGGRESSION!!!!!!! IT'S LITERALLY ALL HE KNEW!!!!!!!!!! and on Top of that the effects of being dehumanized to that degree still affect him. he is always the first to mention his lack of education, always quick to call himself a brute. it makes me so sadddd...i knew his attitude was a result of where he grew up. but like GOD????
