I started her faceup a few weeks ago, wanting to do bigger, more dramatic, makeup, and i finally made a wig for her today. It's sooooo soft! Overall really happy with the results.

G3 Ghoulia has a really interesting face sculpt, she still has this sharp model-esque facial structure but with a little bit of an under bite, which you don't see often.

Little project I've been working on just for myself: Verosika Mayday x Monster High

Current struggle is I can't keep the horns I made attached to her wig! (That and the color doesn't match the rest of her body ;-;)

Buuut I've been outside my comfort zone on this, working hard. Tried darkening her pink skin through body blushing instead of painting, which is quite time consuming so her skin is only colored in where it will be showing in her final outfit. Now I just need to scrape some fabric together for the outfit in question. (Going for her first appears black and white dress)

For one reason or another I still find cats eyes challenging to paint, regardless I'll continue to push myself.

I've gotten so into the wig making lately, playing around with styling and yarn textures, big fan of this Frankie!

The biggest change in my technique since coming back has been ditching paint almost entirely. I may say things like 'I've painted a new doll' but it's been all colored pencil, only exception being gloss on the lips and dots of light on the eyes.

Long time no see, Tumblr. :) Thought you all might want to see this sweet little mouse I did recently for a commission for one of my fantastic repeat customers. I hope he’s happy with her, I just love this doll and hope to work with her again. :)

I’m going to finally be updating again this month. This dolls name is Oil Slick, and she’s on Etsy now. Definitely drawing inspo from 90′s environmentalist cartoon villains, no doubt there. She’s also inspired by the Urban Decay eyeshadow shade, not gonna lie about that either.

When you make your frosting like hair, what glue do your use to keep the beads on it with? Just be wondering about that ^_^

Hello there, all beads and cabochons are placed before the frosting cures, and it’s what holds them in place, no extra glues needed. :) I use modpodge Collage Clay for all my faux frosting work, and once it dries there isn’t much that can get the beads back out of it. :)

What do you use for the custom doll hair?

Hi here, if you’re asking about the frosting ones, the majority of these dolls hairstyles have been made using Modpodge Collage Clay. It is a soft whipped cream clay, made for collages and decoden. :)

For the time being, the shop, and commissions, are at a standstill.

The best explanation I have is that its the high heat and humidity in my area.

My attempts at spraying sealant result in one of two things right now

1. Shiny surfaces, rather than matte, that aren’t curing right 2. My pencils chipping the layer of sealant, and my work, clean off the doll.

I have not been able to do much at all for weeks, and it doesn’t seem to be improving.

Commissions are closed for the time being.

I will be doing my best to finish current commissions, but they will take some time, I'm at the mercy of the weather right now.

Just added a Viperine repaint to the shop. Taking a break from the frosting for a little bit, I’ve been in the mood to go back to basics, and just do a few faceups.

I wanted to make a frosting style doll that wasn’t quite as sugary looking as the others. So here is a berry inspired Scarah, the idea just felt summery to me.
