Okay, so realized that a redesign on the wings for a Diamond was a bit of a necessity once I started thinking about the shape of dragonfly wings and that I know how the capacity to like do the small detail if I wanted on the original drawing. So I did an update and I went ham on the special effects again. Under the cut is a lighter version so you can see the details on the wings a little better. I also might just post her individually.

So do y'all think the entire court was tadpoled during that scene where the tadfools show up to see Gortash be coordinated or whatever it's called that turns him into a Grand Duke?

I'm thinking about stuff with Sunflower (my tav fyi in case this gets out of my circle of mutuals) and specifically how her identity as Helia Whitehorn among the nobility of Baldur's Gate (and possibly with the companions since I'm debating when and where they find out about her real identity) would change if Gorty just straight up calls her by her name to her face (he found out from Wyll's dad since he was one of the handful of people who knew her face) when they all show up.

Like that would just destroy a couple of centuries worth of family tradition in a matter of seconds and it feels so in character for him in my mind. But he is not one of my main blorbos. So I need some people who are more into him than I am to weigh in.

GUESS WHO'S BACK TO DIGITAL DRAWING!

I got myself a new tablet PC for work/hobby/life. The dang thing was expensive even with Black Friday sales but at least now I can do digital desk work at my job without worrying about my PC dying on me. And this means I'm back on for being able to do drawings! I've got a secret Santa thing that I'm participating in, but I didn't want to jump straight into drawing something for someone else with Brand new equipment that I'm not used to so this has been my practice drawing this last week to get used to everything again.

So I tried a lot of different effects with this getting used to the new tablet and now I've got a fancy pen to go with it. Had a bit of a learning curve but I'm feeling a lot more comfortable drawing again. Plus I got to add a bunch more details to the girls and as you can tell from the previous drawing of Diamond, she's had a complete redesign. I went for more of a Glam Rock vibe that hopefully comes through this time. Each of the girls is technically supposed to have represented different genres of music. Originally it was pop, hip hop and classical but now it's turned into pop, hip hop, and Glam Rock which honestly I kind of like a little bit better.

I put a version without a bunch of the effects and close-ups of each of the girls underneath because I put a lot of details into certain spots and I worked too hard on it to not show off a little.

I've also had thoughts about the world they inhabit and some ideas for like a completely original story idea. There'll be more information on that later but it is getting late and I've got work tomorrow.

[37] How would they spend a lazy day when they have nothing specific to do?

🌻 as long as it's raining and she doesn't have to tend to the garden sleep in as much as she'd like, so probably waking up around noon. Making some kind of fancier breakfast than usual, really takes the time to cook something interesting. Clean up afterwards just to make sure there's nothing to deal with later. After that. Probably spend the day reading.

🩸 Pre tadpole probably going out killing folks with Orin and trying on new bodies like it's a shopping trip. Post tadpole dramatic romance novel readings with Wyll, not even spicy, just extremely over the top. Probably dancing with them a bit too. Just a lazy day with their partner.

[38] What do they usually do or where do they go when they need to feel comfortable and safe?

🌻 they still keep some of the fragrances they remember their sister and mother wearing, between that and bringing in some of the herbs from the garden. They can recreate the smell of their family and they'll crawl under a heavy cover for some extra pressure, similar to a weighted blanket probably a cup of tea and maybe some sweets to the side.

🩸 Okay so this came to me out of a bolt in the blue but I kind of love it. There's a drawing on here that I did of BB inside a little jar. I think that's there safe spot. They like the enclosure, I would think it would be like a sensory isolation tank in real life.

[41] What’s their usual morning routine?

🌻 Free and post tadpole since it would be varied on the road on what would happen in the morning. up around 6:00 a.m., cup of tea and a simple toast for breakfast. Check the garden. Make sure everything's watered prune a few things if they need it. Usually the maintenance takes about an hour. Then it's on the paperwork for the rest of the morning, kind of boring to be honest. They also do their laundry weekly as weather allows for drying. After the tadpole adventure, they probably have about the same morning routine, although they might go for a walk after a morning of paperwork.

🩸 if It's the blob acting as they wish. I literally can't see them waking up before noon. However, their life before being tadpoled as Velora they probably got up pretty early to go head to work at the bank. I can see them having a nice little breakfast with Klarvox where he is completely confused but delighted by the sudden change in attitude from his wife... Now I'm pitching her leaving for her bank job like she's husband in a 50 sitcom or something. Kiss on the cheek and everything. I might have to draw that eventually (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)��♡

[55] How long does it take for them to make a new place feel like home, and what do they need for it?

🌻hmmm 🤔 they really don't end up with a new place to call home funny enough. I will say it lost a lot of the homie feeling after their family was completely gone from the mansion. But after the tadpole event in the best ending that I consider Canon for her, she has at least two of the companions stick around to hang out regular visitors and a whole host of gnomes and or orphans hanging out so she stops being lonely pretty fast after that. It's a different home but it's just right for her. So in short I guess it's all about who's there with her.

🩸 This one's going to take a while! Like I'm not even sure if they'll be able to find a place that they can truly call home. Part of their reason for murdering is they were trying to find a place that actually fit and made it feel like home I think. It was part of them exploring other identities through their body snatching.There's some damage inside them that's going to take a long time to undo and there's some identities that need to be explored properly. I honestly haven't figured out a lot of post game vibes for BB yet. I'm still cooking on what's happening with them after they refuse Bhaal. But between lacking and identity in a million different ways for most of their existence, it's going to take a while for them to even realize what a home feels like. But at least they've got people there with them who care about them while they're searching.
