The Black Nazarene is a deeply cherished religious statue of Jesus Christ, known for its striking dark skin, which many believe symbolizes Christ's suffering and humanity. Housed in the Quiapo Church in Manila, this revered image has been a source of hope and healing for millions of Filipino Catholics. Every January 9th, the streets of Manila come alive with the incredible Feast of the Black Nazarene, a massive procession where thousands of devotees, some barefoot and filled with fervor, follow the statue, believing in its power to bring miracles and blessings. The Black Nazarene represents more than just faith, it's a symbol of resilience, humility, and the enduring strength of the Filipino spirit.

The Epiphany, celebrated on January 6th, is one of the most meaningful moments in the Christian calendar. In 2025, this day offers us a beautiful chance to reflect on the moment when the Magi, or Wise Men, visited the infant Jesus, bringing with them gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This event is far more than just a story, it marks a powerful revelation: not just to a select few, but to the entire world. It was the moment when Christ’s divinity was revealed to the Gentiles, reminding us that Jesus came for all people, regardless of their background.
