‘apologies’  .. has become a password for these past few days .. but work drives me to say so, to excuse the irregularities here .. 

am at work now .. Hyderabad reconstructed for a day ..

yesterday was also most important .. worked for the preservation and restoration of films and the building of a centre to keep records .. of which more later .. but yes ..

shot the promotion in the historic and iconic cinema hall here the Liberty .. still maintained in its original art-deco form .. and to watch , my favourite and cult film, Kaagaz ke Phool shots on screen .. restored and preserved by the Film Heritage Foundation that I work for as an Ambassador ..

ahhh .. a delight of a life time ..

.. and the film in my hands is the restored preserved .. ZANJEER .. !!!

❤️ , Tomorrow .. Jan 31st .. is the birthday of Ef Valentina Ivanovna ,, Ef Sourav Banerjee ,, and Ef Madhumita Gupta .. Love .. 🌹✨.. and me and those of the entire Ef family send wishes and wellness greetings to them all .. 

There is concern with the spread of the CoViD, in whatever Greek form it may be , for it seems to be all over the place and every other day there is news of near and dear suffer and succumb to its presence ..

My prayers continue for them that strive with it , and for them that are saved to be in safety and care and precaution 🙏

Domestically the situation keeps varying each day - one or two here , one or two closer - and the management of its occurrence and care begins with earnest. The tests, the isolation, the conditions that must prevail for life to go on, work to go on, all in a sudden move, need attention. And the worry prevails. 

The past year or two have given us change that was never expected , but due. Thinking, functioning, execution, planning, has all gone awry. And nature tells us, buddy, you are not going to dictate to me, I am. And we realise that nature is right and we have been very wrong from day one.

for today and this missive this be enough .. we need to ponder and think and allow it to sink in ..

The fact is that, to honour the anniversary of Your father’s passing, on the 18th of January, His commemorative dwarf in Wroclaw will form the centrepiece of the fundraising efforts of The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation (WOSP) for the region.

This year, the local WOSP committee has chosen Your father’s commemorative dwarf as its central symbol in promoting the event.

I trust that You will agree that this is an excellent development, and that Your father’s memorial continues to benefit the wider society.’

“So “what is this WOSP?” I hear Your cry.

The WOSP is the greatest charity event in the Polish calendar, and it has as its focus the health and well-being of the most disadvantaged in our society (originally, it was for children, then children and elderly, now more general). It is a serious fundraising effort based in fun and involvement. Most of the activities in the fundraising effort are carried out by an army of local volunteers. So an added advantage is the building of community action and awareness.

The annual Grand Finale fundraiser is organised by over 1700 local Collection Centres, which manage the public fundraiser and hold various cultural and sporting events locally. There are 120 thousand volunteers involved in the one-day charity event. Volunteers are fundraising everywhere, where there is an active Polish community - from the USA to Japan.. On this point, the City of Wroclaw offered to help as much as possible and due to the QR Code on the dwarf it will be visible all around the world, thereby aiding easier worldwide donations. So our tribute to HRB will be a most important element of the fundraising effort.

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation (WOSP) is a public benefit organisation registered under Polish law. In 29 years of charitable endeavours, it has raised nearly USD 379 000 000 (INR 28 000 000 000), donating over 67 300 pieces of medical equipment to public hospitals.

The financial means to purchase the equipment and finance the running of medical and educational programmes are raised during a one-day public fundraiser. The fundraiser, known as The Grand Finale, is traditionally held on 30th January 22.”
