Anyways I did this little page to do somewhat of a study for Kim because I wanted to get the hang of his features more and put my own twist on them. The image in the top left bust I drew out are head canons of sort because I like incorporating his portrait version more, but I personally gave him a cleft lip and his marking on his face is somewhat up to interpretation be it a scar or a birthmark

Though I do always love drawing “imperfect” teeth so after maybe staring at his portrait too long I notice he seemed to have crooked teeth with what little we could see

I absolutely agree, and a little detail I noticed that likely visually symbolizes this gradual change with each spirit is the fact that Scrooge gets gradually lower to the ground with each of them. If I’m not mistaken, by the end, he is on his knees begging the last spirit, it not only visually represents his change, but shows it over time as he lowers and submits himself. It’s something that he likely would not have done in the beginning prior to his redemption and process of redemption.

Also, heavy on the softening bit, people don’t realize or remember that during the Ghost of Christmas Past’s visit he sobbed; he sobbed seeing his younger self and then during Present’s visit he felt remorse and concern. “Yet to come” as the finale ghost is called in the book, could not have done that. Scrooge’s redemption would be unachievable without the other two ghosts.

Besides this, I love seeing everyone else’s takes because I couldn’t agree more with some of them, it’s nice to see that other people seem care about this book

"Scrooge only changed because he saw how nobody mourned him after his death" NO NO NO NO. You don't get it! The last spirit only worked because of the spirits that came before softening him up! If the spirits had shown him dead and ungrieved only it would not work. As the night goes on amid the visits Scrooge is already visibly changing. He's different after the first spirit and even more so after the second. And it's because of how much he's already changed that the final spirit is able to succeed
