Actually this is something I experience all the time and I was beginning to think that I was the only one until now
Hey
Does anyone else have like. Anxiety-related memory problems. Like, after you do something, you start wondering if you messed something up or did something wrong, and you get really anxious over possible mistakes you made and you genuinely can’t remember if you made those mistakes or not?
Like for example maybe you write someone a letter and then after sending it you start imagining you made some terrible mistake and despite the fact that you yourself wrote and proofread and sent it, you can’t remember if you did or not?
It happens to me a l o t and it’s terrible and scary because I can’t trust my own memories when I’m anxious

I need Feminism because
When they flat out told Peggy Carter in Agent Carter that “You’re a woman. No man will ever see you as an equal,” my brother nodded his head and I started crying.
When my science teacher told my class that “Men are always first, and women are always last,” all the women in the classroom were silent while the men laughed.
When I sat down at lunch one day, one of my ‘friends’ told all us that “(our government teachers name) was being sexist earlier, it was hilarious,” and all the men at the table wanted to hear what he had said.
When I asked to stop being called a bitch at the lunch table, I was asked “is it that time of the month again?”
When I listen to men’s conversions at my school, their jokes are all women based.
When I hear one of those jokes is “wanna hear a joke?” “sure, what?” “women’s rights!”
When my ‘friends’ girlfriend broke up with him because he started doing drugs again, she was a “crazy fucking bitch” and “controlling as hell” and “she didn’t have the right to say anything anyways.”
When my mom came home one night, bloodied and bruised, the cops showed up the next day to arrest her for slapping her boyfriend.
When I started wearing leggings when I was 13-14, my mom bought my first pair and a can of pepper spray to match.
When my best friend lived across the street, I would walk the few feet home with my keys ready to fight at the first sound of a step.
I need feminism because every women has or will experience all these things, even if it’s just one time or everyday. I need feminism because there are women who will read this and cry. I need feminism because 12 and 13 year olds are being cat called while walking home.
I need feminism because sometimes, I wish I wasn’t a woman.
Feminism is more than a want. It is a need.

After being single for the majority of my life, I'm still shocked sometimes about having a boyfriend. I'll see him and will be shocked for a second before thinking in my head, "Hello wonderful person who I am dating" and it gives me happy chills

It’s not that surpsing that meowing at cats elicits a surprised response. Imagine if a cat walked by and said something random like, “Democracy”.

please take pictures of your friends. take pictures of your friends when they laugh, and when they are happy. And when they are sad, too. Take pictures of them partying, studying, eating, or sleeping in your bed. Take pictures of their new hair color, or new shoes, take pictures of them while they roll their first cigarette, and take pictures of their last, when they quit smoking. take pictures of your friends just being themselves. Tell them they are beautiful all the time you think it. They may dislike these pictures now. but  one day, very very far from this year, they will be thankful

Hi friends! I don’t know how many of you are planetary science nerds like myself, but I’d like to talk about New Horizons (or as I like to call it, Pluto and Friends)! I’ve shared quite a few images these past two days, but I haven’t really discussed how important and AWESOME this mission actually is! Note: all images credit to NASA
Pluto is much more interesting than anyone ever thought it’d be! New Horizons sent the spectacular image that’s been blasted all over the internet yesterday morning. If you’ve ever doubted technological and scientific innovation, please draw your attention to the second picture. On the left is the best picture we had of picture in the past (there were some other ones taken by Hubble that were better but still blurry as crap so..) and the right is what we have now! Pluto was discovered in 1930 and we are JUST NOW getting a glimpse at the cute little ice-ball that’s smaller than even our moon! Science is amazing!
Okay, if you haven’t seen the third image yet, you’ve really been missing out! It brings the spirit of “viva la pluto” with a family portrait of all the planets and they’re little dwarf buddy! I just think it’s super neat to see all the planets together and truly show how different they are!
Now onto today’s news:
Pluto’s heart shaped region will be called Tombaugh Regio, after Clyde Tombaugh, the man who discovered Pluto
The fourth picture, omg the fourth picture, is the bottom left of the heart region (SUPER ZOOMED). This little teeny region has revealed so much about Pluto today. It shows nice and icy mountains around 3 km (11,000 ft) high, just short of the average height of the Rocky Mountains I believe. BUT an important thing is missing: impact craters. This means the surface of Pluto is YOUNG (geologically speaking of course) about 100 million year old. This raises all sorts of questions about the insides of Pluto and it’s EXCITING.
CHARON. Okay so from a nerdy perspective, the best part of Charon is that they’ve nicknamed the dark spot “Mordor.” But geologically Charon is pretty interesting too, way more than expected by many. Charon also has a youthful terrain, like Pluto, but it also has deeeep canyons. The one on the top right is estimated to be about 5 times as deep as the Grand Canyon. DEEP.
Hydra (Hail Hydra, Marvel fans?): Okay so this super pixel image of the tiny potato moon is very similar to the old pixel-y version of Pluto from the past. You know what that means? There’s better images on the way!
Here’s some links if you’d like to read more (Although I think I’ve done a pretty bang-up job:)):

Or pretty much any account that has to do with space/planetary science/geology because literally we are all talking about it (including myself)
And while many fear, “well okay this is it we’ve seen all the original planets now science is over” it’s not. This is a new beginning! I’ll post again when new info and pictures come in! Have a good night!

I love it

Nasa just posted the best photo of Pluto ever taken!
via nasa: SNEAK PEEK of gorgeous Pluto! The dwarf planet has sent a love note back to Earth via our New Horizons spacecraft, which has traveled more than 9 years and 3+ billion miles. This is the last and most detailed image of Pluto sent to Earth before the moment of closest approach - 7:49 a.m. EDT today. This same image will be released and discussed at 8 a.m. EDT today. Watch our briefing live on NASA Television at: http://www.nasa.gov/nasatv This stunning image of the dwarf planet was captured from New Horizons at about 4 p.m. EDT on July 13, about 16 hours before the moment of closest approach. The spacecraft was 476,000 miles (766,000 kilometers) from the surface.
