Hence, as counterintuitive as it may sound, it makes a lot of sense to pull the plugs for a while and head out to – breath.
This is exactly what the Sufalam team did as March ended! The financial year came to end and so did all the fatigue that the team had accumulated over a long period of hard work. A team that celebrates and rejuvenates together, is a team that stays and wins together! So, the team decided to go to the Polo Forest.
The trip was remarkable by all means. No one had imagined that a short trip of just a couple of days and night would release all the worries the team had been carrying on its shoulders! The trip started with a visit to the tent city, where everyone had tents allocated. In all modesty, it would be an understatement to call them ‘tents’. The magnanimous, palatial arrangements were a treat for the eyes and comfortable as well. These tents could’ve easily given a luxury hotel a run for its money!
After having basked in the glory of the luxurious tents, the team started with trekking. Trekking, as difficult as it sounds, is probably one of the best team building exercises a company can organize! The entire Sufalam team went through the trek and enjoyed going through its challenges together, while talking about everything except work. After the trek, the team got the company of a well accomplished and knowledgeable guide, who changed the fundamental perspective everyone had about Polo Forest, by bringing to light its origin story and how it became this beautiful destination for relaxing.
Sometimes, no matter how relaxed you are outside, something inside you just needs the peace and serenity that we seek as humans. This peace and serenity comes only when you are in the company of the almighty. The Sufalam team understood that beyond the mental and physical rest, it needed spiritual comfort as well. Hence, the team visited two stunning temples in the vicinity of the Polo Forest – the Sun Temple Abhapur Polo and the Shri Sharneshwar Mahadev temple. After having attained a good amount of inner peace, the team returned from its trekking expedition and reached the comforting tents.
Once you had attained the peace, what do you do with all the energy you have? Yoga is great, but in such times, all you need are the loud beats of disco and the company of your friends. The Sufalam team got this great experience of dancing without any worries on the beats of the DJ and also went through a wondrous experience of the gaming zone nearby. The team realized that very soon, the moments of joy and exuberance that they were living then, would turn into happy memories. So, to capture the memories, the team also went through a nostalgia creating photoshoot – that will keep on refreshing everyone’s stories from the great trip!
After having rested in the exquisite tents, the next morning brought another set of adventures for the team. All the members accepted the challenge posed by heights and went through the zip lines in the vicinity, because nothing entails the beauty of a place than looking at it from a bird’s eye!
By the end of the day, the Sufalam team had got rid of all its worries and tensions of delivering quality work, had found its mojo to hit back with greater energy and had also created a ton of memories that would keep refreshing the team for years to come. The trip ended by the second day and the team returned to Ahmedabad, all set to rock the forthcoming challenges!
