Just to address this. I just got tagged in a post about stealing gifs. And it’s because of something that’s going on in the fandom? not really sure. First of all, I apologize because yes for one of them, I did steal it. I didn’t do it maliciously, which I am not saying as an excuse just letting you know my intentions which were: I wanted a gif/picture of Buck and the Bee and I googled, grabbed something and I didn’t think about it much past that. I see how that’s wrong and I apologize for that. I’ve deleted my post because of this.

As for the other post, I’m gonna take it down as well, I am hesitant because I remember exactly how that post came to be. An account on twitter (@/murdocxscastle) posted the video version of , I’m pretty sure the post since then has been deleted and I downloaded that and I turned it into a gif with tumblr, I remember struggling with it because the video was too big and tumblr kept screaming about it. I don’t know where the person on twitter got it, but the following was post pre-2020 so for all I know they are in fact the original. I don’t really know.

Anyways the reasoning behind it doesn’t really matter. What I did was wrong and I am sorry.

the belief that buck was trying to get eddie to invite him to the basketball game is literally the 911 fandom’s very own version of the mandela effect. he didn’t want an invite he wanted eddie to not go at all and only play basketball with him with the hoop he proposed they get for themselves. and the reason this falsehood has proliferated is because the gym scene is literally too painful and secondhand embarrassing to watch closely or think about in depth

sometimes I read fics where buck gets hurt/does something reckless and eddie gets so mad at him and tear him a new asshole. and while I don't hate these scenes every time I do think it's really important to note that eddie has never once, in canon, yelled/gotten mad at buck the way everyone else has over his recklessness. dismayed, sure (like when buck took off on the bicycle to save chim), but never angry. closest we've seen is him telling buck about the will and he wasn't even like. mad. or if he was, he didn't let it show to buck as anger.

it kind of circles back to the invincible vs expendable thing. everyone else sees bucks behavior as cock recklessness. but eddie KNOWS where buck is coming from every time and tends to lean towards strong but gentle reminders that 'yes, I know you and I know this is who you are and your heart is one of the reasons we love you. but you also matter regardless, you have things to live for as well. reasons to prioritize yourself.'

and while there is something so juicy about eddie completely losing his cool I also just would love to see more of this quiet, graceful understanding and support
