It's been forever since I Arked any Knights and maybe I've been spoiled by being into Touhou for long enough to get fairly accustomed to the popularity of pairings built on much flimsier ground, but I do find myself somewhat surprised by the fact that to this day I haven't seen anybody smashing Waai Fu and Leizi together, mostly because I find there is a surprising amount of overlap in these two characters who marry a diligent work ethic and a bent towards the preservation of justice with high impact violence executed through the application of arts, martial or otherwise, backed by a significant pedigree. I'm fond of imagining these two are the kind whose idea of a nice date is spending a whole afternoon quietly sorting neglected file folders in this or that office, with the brunt of their sparse conversations dedicated to discussing classification methodologies or debating the logistics of an incident report involving opposed parties in a context where culpability can't be decided through a simple matter of black-and-white deduction. I think they'd both go on an interesting journey of self-discovery out of the more wordly Waai Fu teaching the somewhat sterner and more traditional Leizi what it means to Arkflix and chill

lately i feel so detached from making fan art, like none of my ideas are compelling or they just get disappeared into the void of the internet without anyone actually noticing or caring, so i've been more focused on just doodling original stuff that will never see the light of day. i have to say it feels so much better not having the pressure of comparing myself to other people that draw the same characters and being massively more talented and creative. like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders
