Ravenclaw Headcanon

Ravenclaws are perfectionists and when it comes to learning something new they can become frustrated. Especially if it’s a new skill they want to be good at. They are frustrated that their work isn’t their best, but haven’t learnt the skill enough to know how to fix it.

This can cause some Ravenclaws to give up and try something new. So they become notorious for hobby hopping. Other Ravenclaws become extremely driven to get better and put all their effort into trying to make their best work, but they still find flaws in their work.

Slytherin: Are you okay?

Ravenclaw: Nope.

Slytherin: Okay, I’ll bite, why?

Ravenclaw: I just like to be prepared, you know? Set yourself up for the worst and then anything otherwise and you’re pleasantly surprised.

Slytherin: You’re never pleasantly surprised by anything.

Ravenclaw: Well, no, because if something good is happening, then something really bad must be about to happen.

Slytherin: And people think I’m the depressing one.

Ravenclaw Headcanon

Ravenclaws love and hate ambient noise. It needs to be a specific kind of noise depending on what they’re doing, and if it varies too far from the ambient noise they wanted, they just find it distracting.

Ravenclaw: Okay, today I have to work, finish my project, and clean up my room. I can handle that.

*12 hours later*

Ravenclaw: I never knew there were so many videos about the manufacturing of paper clips.

Ravenclaw: *spends hours researching something they want to buy*

Ravenclaw: *doesn't buy it*

Always liked that film.

Disney’s steampunk-era lost world fantasy adventure film, “The Island at the Top of the World,” with a valley of surviving Vikings discovered by airship explorers (the airship is built into a cafe in Eurodisney). The plot is similar to the adventure novel “Thyra, Romance of the Polar Pit.”
