Wrapped up in his sweatshirt and sweatpants, he padded his way down the hall and knocked on Gabe’s door. Waiting there, Caelan wrapped his arms around himself as he worked to warm up still.

Alright. So, basically, this fanfic journal is mostly filled up, jam-packed with first drafts and some stuff that has only seen my eyes. (PS. That’s a page of some of that stuff, so I suppose that doesn’t really count but let’s not be technical, eh?)

Anyway, instead of hoarding it and letting it sit around for eternity on my bookshelf, probably never to be opened again, I thought I’d offer it up to you guys. 

What I’m giving away:

My handwritten journal of drafts and ideas about Supernatural fanfiction. I write a lot of Sabriel, Cabriel, and Destiel.

A story (to be written in the last pages) in which the you choose what it’s about. You choose the ship, setting, basic plot, etc. I’ll even write you in if you want!

FINALLY! Come on guys, was that so hard?

Why I like them

O, how I love thee, let me count the ways! He’s so…broken. And I love that. He’s this magnificent, awesome, dangerous archangel that can do anything except fix his family. He hides his pain under a facade of tricks and sweets and when that breaks, he lashes out. Honestly, all he wants is peace. He has this capacity to love so much, but he can’t because every time he shows it, he’s been hurt. I’m a sucker for tragedy.

Why I don’t

This is another one where it’s not that I don’t like the character, I don’t like how people portray him. While I indulge in the fluff sometimes, I prefer “HOLY SHIT THAT’S A FUCKING ARCHANGEL” Gabriel to “Aww look at him eating candy and putting saran wrap on the toilet” Gabriel

Favorite episode (scene if movie)

Hammer of the Gods. Even though he dies*, the episode reveals so much of who Gabriel is and why he’s done what he’s done. I also love that it hints that he and Lucifer used to be close and it makes his death* that much more heartbreaking.

Favorite season/movie

Season 5 for obvious reasons.

Favorite line

“Let me tell you, whoever said Dean was the dysfunctional one, has never seen you with a sharp object in your hands.”

SABRIEL! Always always always Sabriel. Height differences, personality and history parallels, best sex in the history of ever…There is nothing wrong with this ship. It’s perfect.

I’m also probably one of the most active Cabriel shippers right now, though. Winggggsssss

Brotp

Gabriel/Balthazar. OMG they were made to be BFFs. Think of the tricks and pranks and changing of history. The Winchesters should thank Chuck that they (canonally) never met.

Head Canon

He tastes like candy and sunlight. He left an easter egg or special feature on the DVD that was meant for Sam. He’s alive or can be brought back due to the blood magic that Kali did on him.

Unpopular opinion

I don’t really have one. I guess the most unpopular opinion I have when it comes to Gabriel, is that he only has one set of wings. They’re just bigger and longer than regular angel wings.

Sunbathing with Wincest ft Cabriel

Sam: Dean, I need some on my back

Sam: (flips over) On my back, Dean! Sunbathing and sunscreen go hand in hand.

Gabriel: You know what else goes into a hand? (quirks eyebrows)

Castiel: Each one of your ass cheeks if you bother to finish your joke, Gabriel.

I have this headcanon that this was the first real time they met and had a good talk in centuries, if not in millennia. Probably no one cares about my theories, but I’ve been thinking about them for a while now, and I can’t really keep them to myself. So, according to what Gabe says in Changing Channels, he should have left Heaven somewhen around Lucifer’s fall: ”But watching them turn on each other? Tear at each others throats? I couldn’t bear it! Okay? So I left. And now it’s happening all over again.” It’s not clear whether he’s referring to the early stages of Lucifer’s rebellion (before he fell), or the fights between Heaven and Hell that came sooner after it; within Christian and non cultures, it’s clear that Satan, the Devil or whatever you want to call him was there way before humans were born (I’m thinking about the snake and the apple, yes). Anyway, according to this whole consideration, if Gabriel left Heaven little after Lucifer’s fall, he would probably be wandering about on Earth for God knows how many millennia; at least since the early stages of humanity developement. But, just a few moments before, he had said: ”Okay, Gabriel. How does an archangel become a trickster?” “I skipped out of heaven, had a face transplant, carved out my own little corner of the world.” Okay, so: we know that Gabriel isn’t just a trickster. He is the Trickster. So, unless he has sort of stolen Loki’s identity after he and his myth were born, he probably has always been Loki, whose first mythological appearance is set circa in year 1000 AD. Considering this, there are two possibilities: • Gabriel got out of Heaven way before Norse legends were born; before, during or after Lucifer’s fall, somewhen from humanity’s first stepts and beyond; he found a vessel, became a trickster and eventually the object of the Vickings’ legends; • Gabriel ran away from Heaven just during the Middle Ages, either stealing Loki’s identity or becoming Loki himself in the first place. This sets Gabriel’s getaway from Heaven in a quite ambiguous time lapse, say at least between 200.000BC and 1000AD. Which is, actually, very ambiguous. *coughs* But I thought about that too: Gabriel, in fact, was the archangel meant to announce Jesus’ birth to Mary; of course God had ordered him to do so, therefore we can assume Gabriel was still in Heaven by Jesus’ birth. This reduces our possibilities and we can finally set his parting from Heaven approssimately between 6BC and 1000AC. Okay, here comes the important part! As this beautiful post convinced me, I have a headcanon about Gabriel and Castiel having a very strong relationship like the one Sam and Dean have. However, when Cass first saw Gabe in Changing Channels, he didn’t immediatly recognise him: ”Something is not right. This thing is much more powerful than it should be”. ”What thing—the Trickster?” “If it is a trickster.”

By the end of the episode, though he had had no possibilities to talk to the Winchesters anymore, Castiel figured out who the Trickster really was. And look at Cass’ face when he finally saw Gabriel again:

I love Misha’s acting so much in this scene, because the emotion here’s clear on his face: this is not the expression of someone who’s simply angry. This is someone who feels betrayed. If you add this to the expression on Castiel’s face when, a little while before, Gabriel taped his mouth and sent him away, that look of complete shock - because no, it can’t be Gabriel, Gabriel could never do something like that to him - and to the post I linked a few sentences above, the results are absolute. Gabriel and Castiel were obviously close in Heaven, and if what I just pointed out in this last paragraph - or, again, the post I linked - didn’t convince you, you can’t just deny the obvious bound the writers showed us in Meta Fiction. And still, however strong their brotherhood was, Castiel didn’t at first recognise Gabriel in Changing Channels, meaning that he had never seen him with this [Gabriel’s] vessel. And, considering the many times Supernatural showed us how difficult it was to find someone strong enough and willing to become an angel’s vessel (especially in S09E03), I am more willing to believe that Gabriel’s never changed his vessel at least since he became Loki; also, if Gabriel had changed his vessel through history, pagan gods would have found out he was something else than a demigod, something who instead required a vessel, as a demon or, in fact, an angel. Last thing is probably bullshit, but I like to think it that way, even if it’s surely just a coincidence: Gabriel’s vessel is short, and his height is about the standard one of - wonder what? - the Middle Ages, or, Loki’s myths ages!

So, finally, here’s the thing. Castiel has not recognised his vessel, who’s most likely to have at least a thousand years, though, considering our first statements, could be up to two thousands; this brings me to think that Gabriel did not just leave Heaven, but his whole family, walking out on his brothers for good and coming on Earth for a fresh start. And though, after two thousand years of being away, after not talking with Cass and his sibilings for centuries and centuries and centuries… He still would give his life for him. He still believes him, and viceversa. And well, I know that two thousand years are not so many for an archangel, but damn, you can actually see in his eyes how much he really cares for his little brother; you can actually sense how Gabriel, the mighty Gabriel, who played badass and pretended to not give a frick about the other angels, who made us believe he only cared about women and sugar- he has truly changed, or has returned to be the person he once was. People misunderstand Gabriel so much, because they just look at how badass he pretends to be and how cheerful and funny he always is; but this is the real Gabriel; someone who left his family because he couln’t stand to see his brothers fight, someone who gave up everything he had because he didn’t want to stand up to his sibilings, but someone who, at the end, screwed up the whole life he had created for himself because he loved his brothers and humanity too much to let them sink without doing anything about it. And if this doesn’t make you think Gabe’s one of the best characters of this whole show, then, well, dont know how else I could cajole you.

A little Cabriel drabble that I found, going through one of my transition notebooks. :3

   Castiel sighed as he felt the archangel place a kiss between his shoulderblades. Both of their wings were out, filling the room with black and gold. He loved how easy this was. Gabriel’s fingers ran through the down at the base of Castiel’s wings as he kissed a line up to the base of his neck. Angels were supposed to be together, and Gabriel was certainly the one who he was meant to be with. Their graces intertwined like puzzle pieces fitting together. Castiel reached out a bit of his and Gabriel reciprocated, the feeling sending a jolt of emotion throughout his vessel.

    Gabriel’s arms wrapped around Castiel and he placed his palms on the angel’s bare chest. He pulled himself close and breathed in the sweet scent of everything that was his partner.The scent of a tropical storm filled his senses, mixing salt and electricity. Gabriel’s hand trailed down Castiel’s sternum, leaving goosebumps in its wake. He felt the angel’s breath hitch and smiled into his neck. While there were many ways for them to be intimate, they most enjoyed the carnal passion that humanity offered. 

    “Do you love me, Castiel?” Gabriel silently projected, pressing a kiss into the seraph’s neck.

    “With all my being,” Castiel replied, arching against the archangel, a small moan escaping his lips. He turned his head, reaching up a hand to entangle in Gabriel’s hair while he caught his mouth. The taste reminded him of a summer day as Castiel explored his mouth, absorbing every bit of sunlight and sweetness.

Cas/Bees. And I’m also a big fan of brotp megstiel. Like. I wanna write a high school AU where Cas and Meg tried dating but then they both realized they were really fucking gay so they split up but stayed good friends and hung out and were really sassy about everything. That’s my jam.

I can’t think of any popular fandom Cas ships that I’m super against, so we’ll stick to canon and I’ll say Cas/April.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

Castiel likes to drink tea while he watches his Netflix. His idea of the perfect lazy afternoon involves putting on one of his shows, something he already loves but hasn’t seen all of yet so it’s still gonna surprise him, and sampling like six different kinds of tea wile snuggled up in blankets. Every time Dean comes into the room to give him a gentle kiss (five seconds, before Cas pushes him away and tells him not to distract him from the storyline) Cas’ lips taste very slightly different, but still uniquely like Cas, and after a while, Dean can’t stop himself from sitting down next to Cas and cuddling up to him. Cas should be annoyed by the fact that Dean keeps asking dumb questions about what’s going on in the show, but he’s far too content to be annoyed. He offers Dean sips of his tea every so often. It’s peaceful. They’re happy.

6: favorite line from this character

I know JUST how cliche and trash this is, but my favorite line will always and forever be “I’ll watch over you” and I’ll forever die any time it’s used in a fic.

7: one way in which I relate to this character

ONE way?? Did you say ONE way?? I RELATE TO CASTIEL SO MUCH. Okay, for one way, I guess I’ll say that we’re both really curious about the world around us, a little confused by a lot of things, but always open to learning more about them. Also we both love burritos, trenchcoats and bees.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

“I’m gonna become a hunter!” Except not really because when I have secondhand embarrassment for Cas it is always, exclusively of the adorable ‘let me squish your cheeks you’re too precious for this world’ kind and never ACTUAL secondhand embarrassment.

Phew!  April Fools Day is over.  Gabriel was quite busy yesterday but he did manage to pop over to our blog for a little prank.  Hope he didn’t confuse anyone here too much!

He’s apologizing but we’re pretty sure it’s just for show.  I was baking yesterday and he doesn’t want to miss out on any of the cupcakes.
