What I can’t get over is how good Park Joong Gil is at his job

Like

Escorting all the criminals and doing it so justly and cleanly

Realizing Joon Woong was about to accidentally kill himself at the hospital by visiting his old body so he steps in to try and stop him

Giving the best ever send off for the Veteran soldier and going all out with it even if it meant listening to Ryeon’s request, who he wasn’t fond of at the time

Stopping the RM Team from killing the serial killer because he wanted to prevent them from dealing with the regrets he’s been dealing with for centuries.

Just – this whole sequence on the bus. If you know, you know.

Being so kind and gentle with the little girl while also preventing her from seeing something that would leave her scarred like he was

Rescuing all the Souls of Joseon and bringing them back to their own land during the war

Remembering every single one of the people he’s escorted. Being kind, supportive, and welcoming to Yun-i and encouraging her as a reaper when she first asked about it and again later when she was preparing to escort her friend.

Doing everything in his power to protect Ryeon and the RM team so they could help Cho-Hui even if it resorted to him on the ground, desperately and humbly holding on to Ha Dea-Su’s ankle to keep him from following them

Then managing to talk his way out of it while also protecting Ryeon from the punishment she was about to get, and then taking the punishment for himself

Jumping at the chance to help the RM Team as soon as he was able because he understands the cause and desperately wants to help too and also has a fondness for Joon-Woong. 

Pretending that he was just strolling by and offering any casual assistance to Ryeon and the RM Team like the good coworker he is.

Like he didn’t get a chance to do as much as some of the other characters but dang, what he did he did well.
