This is just my personal analysis, but it seems that there are 2 main criminals that Kotoko is pursuing in this MV. I will try to divide them so it's not confusing.

Kotoko pays him 10,000 JPY which is equivalent to 90~100 USD in conversion. This scene is related to Serial Killer boy and it's very suspicious.

There are some suspicious scenes as well with Serial Killer boy. Things that Kotoko shouldn't seem to know. For example, the old lady's body appears a few frames before the end sequence. The murder weapon and how he killed them. A black haired girl that was not mentioned anywhere.

The articles made no mention about the killer's modus operandi or murder weapon. It's possible Kotoko got that information when she met the reporter but she has been hinting to have seen the hammer and the lady in white earlier before that.

This is just speculation of course but...There's also the article about the paperbag couple. Kotoko is 20 years old and this boy seems to be of the same age. Are they...related somehow? Or is it just coincidence? Kotoko's hideout seems to be in a warehouse too.

It's unlikely they are connected but I also find it interesting that the appearance of the serial killer is very close to Fuuta.
