is it realistic for me to be trying to learn arabic, french, korean and japanese at the same time (bearing in mind im learning french in a more traditional learning environment too)?
Hi there! I think that as long as you can commit to them all equally and dedicate to really giving each language their own time to really focus on it is totally realistic! I was studying Chinese, French, and Japanese in high school! Right now I’m working on Burmese on top of constant reviewing of all the other languages I know so I would totally go for it if you are up for it!<3

What brings you to learn korean?
For sure it would have to be because of my career path! I am working on becoming a translator and interpreter! I have lots of friends who their parents need people like this so its always been something that has driven me to learn the languages I study!

Hi it's me again and I have a Japanese lesson for you. Sometimes, when the kanji isn't very ordinary, it's replaced with katakana (examples: クマ-熊, バラ-薔薇) And sometimes, 2 kanji come together to make a related word (examples: 牛-Cow 肉-Meat 牛肉-Beef) Some other examples of the 2 kanji thing are candle, pork, Tokyo, chicken meat/poultry, Shepard, done, and maybe damage.
Thank you so much! This is a great lesson topic! I know that this can be a little confusing for people just starting to learn kanji! I’ll for sure cover this thank you

Hiii!!! I’ve started learning Korean for a few weeks and I was wondering why there are more than one thank you and sorry. I’ve learnt 고마워 and 감사합니다 Is it formal and informal? Sorry if I’m bothering you it’s just kind of confusing
You hit the nail on the head! A lot of the time you may see books teach you multiple ways to say one phrase and especially in Korean and Japanese it is honorifics and formality. I can do a post explaining this with some history and extra examples on this if you’d like me to~
Thank you

I have a suggestion on korean content but idk if it is manageable to do it ???? Anyway one of the things i'm struggling the most with is pronunciation, i'm learning it by myself so the pronunciation is tougher without a teacher, but as I'm constantly forcing myself to read and say it I notice it is getting better but there are things i just have no ideia how to pronunciate... ANYWAY (sorry that was longg) my suggestion is tips on do's and don'ts on pronunciation and specific situations as well
You got it!! Sorry that I have been away for such a long time I’m sure you asked this forever ago but my wedding kind of took over my life for the past year or so! But I am going and making a big schedule so expect to see this soon!! I’d say in the next week!!! Thank you for the support~

Common Japanese Verbs Hey guys, below is a list of what I believe to be common Japanese verbs! I’ll also be posting a list of common adjectives, adverbs, and nouns in the future too, so keep an eye out for them! There are a number of ways that verbs have been categorised in Japanese, such as Ichidan 「一段」 and Godan 「五段」, and う verbs and る verbs. I’ve listed them all in the titles for easier understanding, depending on what distinction you’re familiar with. These classifications come in handy when you need to conjugate verbs so try to remember what category they belong to! うverbs・五段「ごだん」・Class 1: To begin (something starts on its own)・始まる・はじまる To buy・買う・かう To close・閉まる・しまる To die・死ぬ・しぬ To drink・飲む・のむ To eat・食べる・たべる To end・終わる・おわる To enter・入る・はいる To give back (return something to someone)・返す・かえす To go・行く・いく To go back・戻る・もどる To have/exist (inanimate objects)・ある To know・知る・しる To learn・習う・ならう To listen・聞く・きく To make・作る・つくる To meet・会う・あう To play・遊ぶ・あそぶ To receive・貰う・もらう To repair・直す・なおす To return・帰る・かえる To ride on・乗る・のる To run・走る・はしる To send・送る・おくる To sit・座る・すわる To speak・話す・はなす To swim・泳ぐ・およぐ To take・取る・とる To take off (shoes, clothes)・脱ぐ・ぬぐ To understand・分かる・わかる To use・使う・つかう To wait・待つ・まつ To wake up・起こす・おこす To wash・洗う・あらう To write・書く・かく るverbs・一段「いちだん」・Class 2: To answer・答える・こたえる To bathe・浴びる・あびる To be able・出来る・できる To be born・生まれる・うまれる To be enough・足りる・たりる To begin (to start something)・始める・はじめる To borrow・借りる・かりる To break・壊れる・こわれる To check・調べる・しらべる To cut・切れる・きれる To exceed・過ぎる・すぎる To find・見つける・みつける To forget・忘れる・わすれる To get off・降りる・おりる To get tired・疲れる・つかれる To give・あげる To go out・出る・でる To greet・迎える・むかえる To have/exist (animate objects)・いる To help・助ける・たすける To make a mistake・間違える・まちがえる To open・開ける・あける To remember・覚える・おぼえる To see・見える・みえる To show・見せる・みせる To sleep・寝る・ねる To stop・止める・やめる To teach・教える・おしえる To think・考える・かんがえる To wear・着る・きる Irregular verbs・Class 3: To come・来る・くる To do・する
する verbs: する verbs are made by adding する to a noun. To ask questions・質問する・しつもんする To be surprised・びっくりする To call・電話する・でんわする To do the cleaning・掃除する・そうじする To do the washing・ 洗濯する・せんたくする To get married・結婚する・けっこんする To go shopping・買い物する・かいものする To have a meal・食事する・しょくじする To reserve・予約する・よやくする To study・勉強する・べんきょうする To take a walk・散歩する・さんぽする To travel・旅行する・りょこうする

Update: September 18
Hello everyone! I know that I haven’t posted on here for quite sometime due to how busy my personal life is and also a lack of a computer but I have lots good news to cram into this post!
First thing is that my boyfriend and I now have two desktops to work with so I can actually work on the blog after work and not worry about having to take his computer! I’m also going to have the weekends permanently off from work so I will have all weekend to work on content for you guys and have it queued up for you all!
Another big thing that I’m going to try and implement onto the blog is to make actual lessons that you guys can follow so its not totally random. I know that I have tried to do this in the past while I was still in school and it kind of flopped because I didn't really have a solid plan for it. I’m pretty sure that I have it down to a science now and I can’t wait to try it out.
I’m also still working on preparing for the JLPT in December so I will probably work on uploading some things that I use to prepare for that as well.
I’m currently working on making a brand new schedule to fit that concept and and also work on having a queue schedule so I’f I don’t have time to upload something then I can have it all ready for you guys. That way you guys get material and I don’t stress over not having something done.
On top of all of that I’m going to get back into uploading a quizlet for Korean and Japanese. I’m going to be making a totally new account so it will be fresh and organized! I’ll probably have that opened by later tonight (I live in the Midwest so I’m on EST) I’ll try and have it uploaded by 7 or so.
I hope that everyone is excited for everything that I have planned and I hope you all continue to support my blog! Thank you all for everything you have done to help my blog and I appreciate you all so much!
Thank you and lots of love and good luck!
Katie

Taking the JLPT: What I use to Study
Hi everyone! With the JLPT slowly approaching us, December 5 in the US, I decided that I that I would make a list of the resources that I have been using to study!
I’ll try and break it down into book resources, online, apps, etc:
YouTube Channels/Videos-
:: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaICD6XJma5-H4NQIiKpX5g/videos ::
:: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYTS4SxXnmQ ::
:: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1g1hWLZ67I&list=PL8dhMOKO4oIfIe7XxG0sRUe4wv5YOZOXe ::
:: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBSyd8tXJoEJKIXfrwkPdbA ::
Websites-
:: https://nihongoichiban.com/2011/04/10/complete-list-of-kanji-for-jlpt-n5/ ::
:: http://japanesetest4you.com/jlpt-n5-grammar-list/ ::
:: https://jisho.org/search/%20JLPT%20N5 ::
Books-
:: http://www.jlpt.jp/e/reference/books.html ::
:: https://www.amazon.com/GENKI-Integrated-Elementary-Japanese-English/dp/4789014401/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1529548502&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=genki+book ::

*I also recommend buying the workbooks with Genki 1 and 2 because it never hurts to have extra practice! Same goes with the Contemporary Japanese books!
Apps-
:: Memrise ::
:: Quizlet ::
:: Tsukji ::
:: Beelinguapp ::
:: Tandem ::
If you guys have any questions about any of the things that I attached on this then go ahead and message me!
I also would recommend trying to use a language partner app like Tandem or try and find a club at your university that you may be able to join to try and find people that you can practice speaking! Even though there isn’t a speaking part of the exam there is extensive listening the higher you get with the exams, so being able to work on your comprehension will help lots!
*Note! I made this for the N5 it also could help with maybe the N4 and N3 but I’ll be making separate posts for the N3, N2 and N1 shortly!
