i know i'm never on here anymore, but my cat really really needs helps. anything counts. please

I hate having to ask for this, but it's not for me. It's for my baby Morris. On Sunday night, he had to be rushed to the emergency vet and was found to have 3 slipped lumbar discs leading to him being unable to use his back legs. We were sent home with steroids and pain killers, told to give him crate rest and monitor him. The following Tuesday night, his condition worsened. We returned to the emergency vet was were given 5 more medications. We are currently unable to afford any transfers to the animal hospital, and were told to keep him on his meds and monitor closely at home for any signs of improvement. If he worsens, then we will have to see a neurologist to discuss surgery and possibly putting him down.

I've owned Morris since I was 16. He's been with me through everything. He's been my constant through loved ones deaths, near homelessness, abuse, assault, and other traumas. I don't want to just give up on him. He's my baby. He still has a fight in him. I've started a GoFundMe to try to raise any money to cover estimated cost for surgery and treatment for him. ALL funds will we going towards helping him get better and recover. Please please please help us out, I can't lose my cat. Anything is appreciated, even if it's just sharing this around.

How she knew her father didn’t even say anything about her dye job since she no longer had her mother’s hair. No more reminders.

“I can’t imagine you with any otha’ hair cola’, though,” she’d continue, changing the subject off her. “Cant think’a you as anythin’ but a sleek black scalp.”

The fly snapped his fingers, “Damn, you caught on to my elaborate scheme to get a gym partner. So sad. But I do actually need a gym partner if you wanna start up unrelated to this all.”

“ANYWAYS, I digress,” Tyco waved his hand to usher in the next thought, “Really though? I’ve been thinking of a dye job. You know those ones where it looks black until the light hits it and theres a shimmer of blues and pinks and stuff like an oil slick? Maybe something along those lines.”

Was he being serious? Hard to tell. Honestly, depended on her reaction to the idea. External validation is a hell of a motivator!

Just like him, Hellsa understood that the information was not just interesting but useful and, like most useful information, should not just be given away freely. “You and everyone else, I’m sure. But you have to know I can’t just tell you who I may or may not be exploiting. After all, you don’t win wars by giving away strategies.” War might be a bit of a strong word, it had been a long time since any social battles she encountered had that kind of gravity to their outcome, but accuracy wasn’t really her concern in this (or any) discussion.

“To ease your mind, though, I’m willing to tell you that you’re not on the list of those I’m using, not that I’d say anything different if you were.”

“Where’s the fun in that though? Someone’s gotta stir the pot every now and then,” Tyco rolled his head back as he spoke, a usually display in dramatics. “Everything around this scene just gets so stale without it. I mean, I know I don’t have to explain the social politics to you of everyone. But still.”

Legs crossed with a weak shrug, “I can have some great gossip you’re missing out on not taking that chance, but your loss then hun.” Is he still going to pass up any chance to mutually badmouth people when they’re in social situations now though? Not a chance. But his intent was more a bargaining tactic. Was he essentially asking to be her canary in the coal mine? Perhaps, but he was never the smartest.

Haven’t been busy here but my first ever niece was born a week ago and I’m officially an uncle. Wrapping up finals with my reel before graduating (gotta present it to a board of professionals) and commission work on top of job hunting. But I do have some tyco doodles I’m planning on working on and dropping here maybe soon
