Hey, everyone 💕

So I know I said hiatus over after the New Year / My vacation— But I’m gonna have to extend it for…. I’m not totally sure. 😅😅 Don’t really have the emotional bandwidth or braincells to spare, right now!

Got home, immediately got sick. So no energy 😫

Also immediately had to make the call to schedule one of my ferrets for a potential euthanasia tomorrow 😔 He declined rapidly on my flight home— So we’ll see how that goes.

Anyways— I appreciate all’a y’all, and I appreciate y’all’s ongoing patience and kindness. Life is a rollercoaster and I’m stuck on the ride 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Not safe— Well, Asset was probably somewhat correct on that front. The later the night went on, the soldier the fireworks got.

He rolled his eyes, planting his hand on Asset’s head as he flinched, giving him a firm pat. “You might be right.” He conceded, putting more attention into the glittering display of colors than he was into Asset at his feet. “Not shooting at us, though.”

He took another swig of his drink that had been sitting not too far away, looking rather unamused by it all before jabbing at him with the tow of his shoe. “Get up, Asset. No use in rolling around in the dirt.”

There were loud noises echoing through the air, it sounded like rapid gunfire and Asset kicked into gear before anyone could stop him, not that anyone would be able to. He launched himself at Jack, attempting to tackle him to the ground and protect him from the threat.

He didn’t know why they insisted on letting Asset out for all this— More trouble than it was worth, in his opinion. After last year, and with Rumlow’s careful absence— Jack knew what could happen. And, now— What was going to happen.

He had just a second to prepare as he saw the blur in the air- Lowering his shoulder and bracing his feet, meeting Asset head fucking on. Jack groaned with the effort, boots scoring deep into the grass and soil— But he didn’t go down. Not this time.

“Calm down,” He snapped, trying to wrestle Asset off of him. “Just fireworks, they’re fun.”

Jack chooses a cologne that has a lingering scent, but not overpowering. Leather and smoke undertones with a very subtle spice.

2: Do they use hand cream? What sort? What does it smell like?

He avoids scented products and anything super greasy-- He does fidget and pick at his nails, so he uses the hand cream to keep them from getting too raw.

3: Long fingernails or very short? Bitten? Painted? Dirty?

Jack keeps his nails short and clean.

4: Do they usually have warm hands or are they cold?

Jack has warm hands! Calloused and rough, but they're warm
