Tired: Scar from the Lion King was turned into a pelt after his death to be used as a headpiece in Hercules.
Wired: Scar was reincarnated into an asshole charr.

being obsessed with your own oc and you can only see them if you go in and take the screenshots or draw or write the fucking fic yourself there’s no search there’s nowhere else you can dig them out except from inside your own head
#Dalton has been desperately trying to claw his way out for 2 years#he has not yet succeeded#but if he is defined by anything it would be his resilience#I suppose Brian has the comfort of knowing he has a presence in multiple universes#Dalton does not have that luxury - it's either his world or nothing.

Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.

I am reading the original Sherlock Holmes stories for the first time, and I have to say the original really blows the others away. I really enjoy both Sherlock and Watson in these, they have such a great relationship!
#RDJ's iteration is a close second#I should check out Elementary#I am curious to re-watch BBC Sherlock now that I know the stories but I bet it would just make me grumpy.

Buses are very tolerant of humans and not skittish at all. Trains are much less tolerant and they get scared easily ... Trains hate when their way of life /schedule is disturbed. Even a small deviation will be very stressful for a train. While buses are used to it. They have to deal with cars every day so their tolerance is very high. Buses are like large herbivores. You can't push them over or make them do something they don't like. You may train it but they still go their own way most of the time. Very independent. While a train doesn't know what to do when it sees a plastic bag on the tracks

Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
