What They Would Do When You're Feeling Depressed and Hopeless

Fem!reader & best friend Bakugo Katsuki, Kirishima Eijiro, Ashido Mina, Midoriya Izuku Fluff, tw: food 💌 726 words

For @breakdawn-avenue. I know this probably isn’t entirely what you wanted. And I know your situation changed for the better before I could get this done. But I hope you still enjoy 💖💖💖

Bakugo Katsuki

Best friend Katsuki’s approach can be quite brusque

But you know he means well

He’s happy to cook for you

He even cooks extra meals

And leaves everything behind so you don’t have to think about feeding yourself for a while

He’ll drag you outside for some light exercise and fresh air

(He’ll even haul you out of bed if necessary)

Nothing strenuous, though

Just a walk or two around the block will do

You could walk in circles on a balcony

Or up and down the pavement in front of your building for all he cares

As long as you get moving and get some fresh air and a (minimal) change of scenery

Katsuki is always happy to let you vent to him as much as you need

No matter how often you do so

But he tells you off as soon as you get hard on yourself

You’re not allowed to hate yourself while he’s around

“I won’t let you talk about my best friend like that!!”

Kirishima Eijiro

Best friend Eijiro works much like Katsuki does

But he’s much softer in his approach

He also tries to drag you for walks

But he’s quite happy sitting outside with you if a walk is too overwhelming

He’ll listen intently if you need to vent

Just be warned that he’ll cry if you start crying

And much like Katsuki

Eijiro is concerned about whether you eat enough

Just don’t expect him to cook for you

He’s happy to do so!

But you might end up regretting it

What he cooks is fully edible but rarely… good

Instead, he opts to bring you healthy snacks and meal replacements

Eijiro is happy to help with any task, big or small

And he’s ready to spend all night gaming or having a movie marathon if you feel the need to stay awake

Or if you need to tire yourself out enough that you’ll sleep soundly

He gives some of the best, bone crushing hugs

But only if you’re comfortable with them

“So… what’re we doing tonight? Whatever you need, I’m up for it!”

Ashido Mina

Best friend Mina is great if you’re stuck in a depressive rut

She’ll happily help you un-fuck your room or home if you need it

She comes in, battle plan in hand

Dishes, laundry, cleaning, she’ll help with all of it

She orders your favorite take-out once you’re finished for the day

And won’t hear a word about you paying!

You’re celebrating getting your space unfucked after all!!

Even if you didn’t finish everything that day

You still worked hard!

If you have trouble showering Mina will happily sit with you if you need it

Either just outside the door

Or even inside the bathroom if you’re comfortable with that

No matter where, she’s chatting all the while, telling stories, making you laugh, keeping your mind occupied

She’ll happily do your makeup if you’re up for it

Maybe experiment a bit with different looks if you need inspiration

Or if you just want to try out something new

Afterwards she’ll take you out to walk around, arm in arm

Expect her to check up on you through a lot of phone calls or texts - whichever you prefer

“This’ll make you feel better, you’ll see!”

Midoriya Izuku

Best friend Izuku’s go-to thing is trying to distract you from your thoughts

He’ll get you out of your home, get you into a different setting

Trips to museums right as they open

Matinee movies

Restaurants in the lull between lunch and dinner

Anything will work

He’s happy to pay if you can’t afford these things

But he also does a lot of research about free things to do in your local area

If any uncomfortable silence grows between you

He’ll start talking

He’s well aware of what topics you like, he knows that you find listening to him soothing

And he’s able to occupy your mind enough

That any bad thoughts stay away for a while

If you find it soothing enough that it makes you sleepy

Izuku’s quite happy to call you just before bed

And talk you to sleep

He lends you an All Might plushie to keep you company when he can’t be present

“Have I ever told you about this movie from All Might’s golden age? Well, it’s like this…”

Demon Slayer 👺🎴🔥I combined two pieces for this one, “St. George” by Solomon J Solomon and “Michael defeats Satan” by Guido Reni. I love the motif of Tanjiro holding Nezuko while slaying Muzan. I’m a little sad his katana wouldn’t work for this piece (as katanas are shorter in terms of swords and are typically wielded with both hands contrary to western swords) But I love how it turned out regardless! I love Nezuko’s little manicure 💅 and I chose to go with Tanjiro’s less controversial earrings. Muzan doesn’t look half bad down there 😳
