Tips to becoming any aesthetic:
-Do some research
(What is it that attracts you to this aesthetic? Is it the clothes? The history behind it? The people that portray it? This will make it easier for you to have a starting point)
-Try something new
(Once you have found out what mainly attracts you to that aesthetic, you can start to incorporate it into your everyday life. For example, if you like cottage-core fashion you can start adding bows in your hair and start wearing more lace.)
-Start slow
(You don’t want to throw yourself in. This could overwhelm you and make it less fun. Take it easy, start adding things into your lifestyle that you initially didn’t do but always have wanted to.)
-Find a community
(It’s really easy to find a community. I mean, we are on Tumblr, right? Follow people that follow what aesthetic you like. This is also a great way to make some new friends that share your interests.)
-It doesn’t have to be expensive
(If you are afraid that it could be too costly to switch into an aesthetic, there are so many cheap ways to start. Simple things like thrifting, writing in a journal, watching movies in a specific genre, growing your own plants, learning a language and drawing can help you feel like you are living in the aesthetic you like.)
