After poking around the Memory Alpha wiki, we stumbled on to the Star Trek Is... document that Gene Roddenberry used to pitch Star Trek. Reading through, it seemed like good episode fodder, because it touched on some stuff that Jeremy wanted to talk about when he first pitched the show to Chris. Since this is the document that basically sets up the entire franchise, it's still relevant, even for a Captain Pike heavy show.
