Domino's is down, so can't order anything from there. Understandable that they're down, of course. The Jack in the Box app lied and said it was open but it wasn't. Had to fill out a refund form after my boyfriend walked there to find it closed. Hoping to get that $27 back soon.

Just going to have to hold out hope for that hot food section in the grocery store when the neighbor gives one of us a ride there later.

Fingers crossed. It'd be a nice little birthday treat if I could get something hot, and maybe something sweet, after going through all these crappy last days.

It's my birthday today. A milestone one, too. Not going exactly how I planned though. We only just got power back yesterday after the hurricane. We couldn't save our food, but I'm happy my senior dog and handful of cats are safe.

Also, I have gotten my period, so I am super super grateful to not be dealing with that in a hot, dark, powerless apartment!

Small blessing - we never lost water during the outages

My mom sent $400 for birthday cash. I was originally going to use it to pay the electric bill but now we need it for food. I'm pretty sure I have enough on my credit cards to cover it but if nothing else I know I can pay at least half of it this month. Will just have to play catch up next month like I am going to do with the phone bill I have to float.

I made a lot of promises to myself for this birthday since it's a milestone, I intend to keep them. Right now, though, I'm in bed with cramps watching Sims 4 speed builds. Our neighbor said he'd take my boyfriend to get groceries tonight. I'm crossing my fingers there is some sort of hot food section open in the store.
