Nobody gets Bastille in the same way I do. This music makes me ascend it makes fee feel like I'm spinning it's so vivid and beautiful and the vocals are astounding I love the instrumentals and GOD the way they layer Dan Smith's voice over itself sounds absolutely angelic it's so fucking underrated. on banning facts + spewing hate:
as the great dan bastille once said (/j):
the people that say strict interpretation of the constitution is necessary and that 'we need to preserve the intent of the founding fathers" should LOVE the 1619 project.
would not the men whose wealth was built off of slavery (which allowed them to rebel) define their economic independence as the foundation of their institution that we prop up today?
Furthermore, those who toe the confederate line should be fans as well, for their predecessors chose to directly enshrine slavery as core to their government and society.
Just because you know slavery is evil now, doesn't mean you can, in so many definitions of the word, whitewash the groups you champion.

Can’t believe it’s been five years of Wild World. Probably one of the best album of all time and I’m not taking criticism on that.
