Hideo Kojima recently claimed that The Cure was his "favorite band". I'm going to treat that as a language issue and inject "one of" in there, but I gotta say, his games have tons of references to David Bowie and, uh, The Carpenters, but the only appearance of The Cure in the whole series is a licensed appearance of "Friday I'm In Love" in MGS V. I was reminded of this while listening to "Torture" tonight, a song that I feel like could be a great video game BGM if you stripped out the vocals. There's a lot more variety in game soundtracks these days -- I'd love to hear one influenced by The Cure.

Being extremely busy at work has been good for keeping me off of bird site but bad for getting back into the groove over here. I wrote a post for my actual blog for the first time in a month, though. Posting it here would effectively dox me but I've been considering softening my anonymity now that I'm not constantly getting into fights with Q fanatics, groypers, etc.
