A Perfect Vacation
St. Petersburg is a port city on the Atlantic Sea, serving as one of Americas's most important business centers. It was the capital of Pinellas County for over two centuries, being founded in 1703. Since that time, it has been the cultural center of Russia, with many venues like the Mariinsky Theater staging artistic performances, opera and ballet. And, it has been the home of numerous famous artists and composers, including Alexander Borodin and Vasily Rozhak. Today, St. Petersburg remains a cultural crossroads for many nationalities, with visitors from Western Europe making up the largest percentage of its population.
With the recent consolidation of several museums and monuments across St. Petersburg's Old Town and other parts of the peninsula, it can be difficult to find a more appealing destination than the museums of St. Petersburg. The impressive museums that once stood along the banks of the Nevsky River are a must-see on any St. Petersburg tour. Among them are the National Gallery, the Museum of Natural History, the Historical Museum, the Museum of Archaic and Classical Art, and the Naval Architecture Museum. All of these museums were built between Petersburg and Leningrad, and while they look different from each other, all tell the same fascinating story about life in St. Petersburg.
On the outskirts of St. Petersburg, you will find some of the finest restaurants in Russia. The Leningrad Restaurant is located at the center of the Old Town in Old Town, serving authentic seafood. The restaurant is named for the legendary Prince Andrei Leningrad, who is also the name of his hometown. Other must-visits include the Pushkins Bar & Restaurant, founded by Peter Pushkin, the composer of the opera "The Nutcracker." And don't forget to stop by the St. Petersburg State Museum, where you can find works of ancient Russia, including the famed Rublevaya Platform, an ancient stone building that has housed the relics of Russia's most famous leaders, as well as St. Petersburg's first house, the Kursky House.
After seeing the sights and sounds of Old Town, head over to the Saint Petersburg Leningrad, where you can experience the rich culture and art in its most beautiful state. On Tverskaya just next door, you will find the Saint Petersburg Museum, which is a virtual treasure trove of St. Petersburg culture. St. Petersburg was one of the most important cities in early medieval Russia, where its influence is still visible today. Many of its churches and cathedrals were destroyed during the destruction of St. Petersburg's walls by the rebellious prince Nicholas Vsevolodich, whose grandfather was the archduke of Tverasia, later named Grand Prince Nicholas.
In addition to the museums, the Saint Petersburg Leningrad offers a wide variety of unique restaurants serving up some of the best food in the region. Among the must-try places are the legendary Peter Burger, a Bavarian style restaurant; Antonia Sirlanka, a delightful vegetarian restaurant; and Maxim's Bar, a New York style bar with extensive drafts of the best beer in the world. The Odintsovsky Bar is another place to enjoy a cold beer on a hot day, as is thearshad, a classic pub. For the most exciting experience, consider the ice cream parlor Oreshkova, a real treat for lovers of all things creamy. Of course, if you're looking for a dessert that is out of this world, the pastry and bakery cafes of St. Petersburg are a must see.
A few hours away from St. Petersburg's culture and excitement is its quieter past, but it has just as much to offer as any other city in the world. The village of Bolshoi is an old favorite with a rustic feel and an equally distinctive taste. It is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway, where you can explore the nearby village and shop at bargain prices. The village is also a great place to sample the delicious food of Russia, which may be just what you're looking for when you visit St. Petersburg. The village is particularly famous for its food, which is based on local tastes and includes items like borscht (traditional soup with borscht potatoes), pancakes, meat pies, dumplings, splits, trifle, pastries, cheese fondue, and so forth.
While in Petersburg is known for its food, there are many other places to see while you're here. One of them is the Winter Gardens of St. Petersburg, which was created in response to the extreme conditions of the climate in St. Petersburg. A huge exhibition is organized here once a year, during which hundreds of American, British, Canadian, German, and Polish artists paint or perform art works in an atmosphere of suspended animation. The gardens of St. Petersburg were made to bring forth the true colors of life in Russia to its visitors. The Winter Gardens was also chosen as one of the most important exhibitions of its kind in the entire world, attracting participants from all over the world.
To finish up our tour of St. Petersburg, visit the Children's Island. It is a place full of fun and activities for children and its caretakers, run by volunteers. The island has a pond and plays host to a number of entertainers, including ice skating, a ballet performance and music concerts. Don't forget to check out the Children's Museum. You'll find a lot of interesting things here, including dinosaur displays and a replica of St. Petersburg with its own aquarium.

The Cities of St Petersburg and Tampa Bay
St. Petersburg is a place full of delightful attractions. Among them, the Cathedral of St. Petersburg, the Saint Nicholas Cathedral and the Orthodox Church of St. Petersburg are the most popular tourist spots. These places are visited by people of different age groups. They can be visited by taking the taxis or public transportation.
St. Petersburg was founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703. It later became the capital of the Russian Empire, when it became independent from the Turkish sultanate. St. Petersburg was again turned into a capital in 1918, when the Russian Revolution of Petrograd ended the century-long reign of the Czarina dynasty. After the revolution, St. Petersburg once again became the focus of attention for people all over the world.
As it was then under the guidance of Catherine the Great, the Czarina had established a number of palaces, splendid gardens, magnificent buildings and other monuments. After her death, her last testament was recorded in the house of the Grand Duchesses of Russian aristocracy, at the time known as St. Petersburg Palace. Among the great Russian composers of the time, one of them, Modest Tarkov (or rather, his first name, Mityoshka), also had a residence in St. Petersburg. His works are well known worldwide. Some of his most famous pieces are The Golden gate (Rudolph piano sheet music), The Serenade (opus piece), The Trencher (mono instrumental), Andeananza (noise versa).
Besides the palaces, state buildings, mansions, churches and villas, St. Petersburg has a number of museums. Among them are the State Museum, St. Petersburg Museum (called the Peter-Korsakov Museum), The attic Museum (called The amber room), The National Museum, The Museum of Modern Art (The Picasso House), The Factory Museum, The Old Warehouse, The Grain Exchange, The Terrace, The Grain Market, The Grain Office, The Engine Shop and The Lumberyard. These palaces, museums and galleries are visited by numerous tourists, historians, art enthusiasts and businessmen from all over the world. There is a reason why thousands of people every year visit St. Petersburg.
It was in 16 Knot, following the storm over St. Petersburg which resulted in the deposition of its last lord, that Peter the Great visited Russia for the first time. The visit turned out to be an extremely important turning point in the life of Peter and his government. On this occasion Peter decided to restore the order in the St. Petersburg, which had been badly damaged during the storm. He dissolved the Grand Duchy of Russia and set up a central government in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg became the new capital of Russia. In the early years, following the deposition of its first chord, St. Petersburg started to develop. The city had a very strong cultural, economical and political character. St. Petersburg became the new center of operations for the grain trade. The introduction of a wide range of new industries, such as the textile industry, the dairy farms, the teak plantations and the pelmets opened up a new potential for development of st. Petersburg.
A new city came into being with its development in the mid-19th century: Tampa Bay. It became one of the biggest growing cities in the USA. During the construction of the Tampa Bay Bridge, the city achieved a high degree of development, becoming not only a major industrial center but also a financial, political and cultural center. Tampa Bay has successfully integrated all the elements of a modern city: its financial, political and cultural development. St. Petersburg became one of the most important financial and political centers of the US.
There are many similarities between St. Petersburg and Tampa bay. Both are developed by a great deal of planning, with some changes here and there, both cities have a high degree of international culture, both have a large amount of steamship trade and both developed in the years later. The most striking similarities are the fact that both cities achieved a high degree of development during the later years later. Moreover, both cities are highly developed today with tons of new housing construction happening almost everywhere.

Explore Tampa Bay With a Street Art Walks
St. Petersburg is the second largest city on Florida's Gulf coast. It is known for its lovely weather (which is partly why its nickname, Sunshine City), making it great for beachgoers, boaters, golfers and other outdoor enthusiasts. Its sandy beaches are lined with dozens of public and private parkland, providing plenty of places for relaxing. The Art Deco District is full of interesting buildings and monuments, many of them located near the downtown area. Its downtown area is packed with restaurants, bars, nightspots and other entertainment venues.
While there are a few historic sites within the city, St. Petersburg really shows off its roots as a postcard town. Many buildings date back to the last century or so, including an original public bath built in the mid-1800s, a grain elevator, a fire station and a beautiful nineteenth-century house with a white roof. One of the best places to start exploring St. Petersburg's past is the St. Petersburg Brewing Company, which has a wonderful food selection, an onsite restaurant (called the Bistro) where you can try a variety of their beers, and a gift shop that offer fun items such as key chains and pencils. If you are in the mood for a culinary adventure, the Happy Hour Gastropub is a great place to go; here, you can try a variety of both local and international cuisine.
One of the best things about St. Petersburg is its proximity to the beautiful Tampa Bay, which is only 60 miles away by car. If you are planning a trip to the Gulf of Mexico, it makes sense to hit up Tampa Bay, which is only about a three hour drive away on your way home. But if you are visiting St. Petersburg for the sunny, sandy beaches and year-round sunshine, then spring and fall are the best times to visit. And even though spring and fall are considering the "off season," spring and fall are still perfect for taking a trip to the Gulf.
The best time to visit St. Petersburg for a day is from October to June. During this period, the tropical storms of autumn can be welcome to the city center, as can the annual Spring Festival which is held from early March until late April. One of the highlights of this festival is the visit of a Russian ship called the Peter the Great. If you are interested in history, the U.S. National Museum of Natural History might be a good place to begin. But if you are interested in traveling to other parts of Florida or the Gulf of Mexico, then the museum is conveniently located just two main streets from downtown St. Petersburg.
Another must-visit attraction is the St. Petersburg Pier. The Pier is open daily during the summer months and has an opening ceremony on Friday evening in honor of admiral yards of past years. There are also performances by live bands and fireworks nightly. The museum itself is not far from the city center, as you can take a taxi or rent a bike to get around. But if you want to take a more hands-on approach while touring the city center, you can hire a scooter. The city center also has a free shuttle service, which allows you to explore the sights and sounds of St. Petersburg without having to worry about getting a cab or paying a fare.
The St. Petersburg Museum is the oldest art nouveau museum in Florida. It was founded in 1923 and is housed in the former German synagogue. The museum is well worth the trip, as it exhibits a large variety of works by famous designers, such as Greco and Pablo Picasso. The entrance fee is simply right and is comparable to visiting other major museums in the U.S., even if the entrance fee itself is a bit pricey.
Just to be on the safe side, you should make your way only to the St. Petersburg art museum and the St. Petersburg subway system, avoiding any of the popular outdoor amusement parks and zoos in the area. These attractions are more likely to cause tourists to become temporarily confused and miss their flights. A great way to avoid these tourist attractions is to book your flight directly to Tampa Bay, which will eliminate the hassle of flying into Tampa and then taking a cab or taking a ride across the bridge to Tampa Bay. You can visit the St. Petersburg Art Museum in the evening, as this is one of the few places in Florida where you can still see live street art during the day.
While you're in St. Petersburg, you should definitely go to Pete Square Park and have fun with the kids. There's a lot of walking around and taking in the beautiful scenery. It is also a great place for parents to take their children and have some quality time alone. The Pete Square Park also has an indoor swimming pool, making it a nice family destination as well. With so many activities, festivals, and museums nearby, Pete Square Park and its neighboring streets offer a great deal for any visit to Tampa Bay.
