Been traveling a lot lately. While every town brings with it a new roundup of friends and faces, nightly new musical sounds and shapes spring to life from the inner motivation to at all times make things new. While on paper (literally: our setlist) we play a similar set night to night, nothing about the music is redundant. We all have a immigrant's heart; a burning desire to push beyond our home borders to a new state, one perhaps more free than the last, more beautiful, a place where we can take in whatever can be captured. Then we move on. Travel for a band is like this - we pick up new memories and experiences and friends like receipts and ticket stubs, pausing only for a minute to peer out of whatever building's window sill we find ourselves rested on.
