So hey, this is… this is kind of a recurring thing with Phoenix and Miles. I think it’s REALLY intersing and meaningful, cause…. from a lot of people’s POV - Phoenix must look like someone who changed a LOT, from an over-sensative romantic to a badass lawyer to a mysterious hobo to a dad lawyer. But Miles sees him on maybe… a deeper level than that? The things he consider most important to who Phoenix is, that’s what he sees and so for him, Phoenix ‘never changes’. And now I can’t stop thinking about… the first time Miles said that to Phoenix during the disbarrment era. It probably wasn’t such a big deal to *Miles*, whatever tensions were at the start of Phoenix’s Disbarrement have quieted down. He probably thought “He hasn’t changed…” to himself a couple of time already but just didn’t noticed it was the first time he’s saying it out load. But for Phoenix, maybe it was kind of a suprise? And it was VERY important for him to hear something like that. To hear Edgeworth say with a fond smile that he hasn’t changed a bit. For years already, Phoenix has been someone who *knows* Miles, on a deep level most people can’t really get into. Ever since they reunited that’s what he wanted to be for Miles. And now he can see, now he knows, that it’s the same vice versa. Miles *knows* him, better than anyone.

What makes me mad is that Tony was always the embodient (dont know if im using right this word lol, sorry, not my first lang.) of the phoenix. Always staying alive even in the most extreme conditions. Yeah, his death was heroic and with feels and all, but, can you imagine what could have been if he survived? Kind of like the first avengers movie? Everybody talks about his act of rebellion against Thanos, but the biggest rebellion would have been to life and/or death itself (1/3)

He was the Phoenix. It was even mentioned in canon. Yes, you’re right. It makes me so sad. He deserved that, he deserved to make the big sacrifice and stay alive to live the life he had finally created for himself. The five years in between weren’t perfect, but with Thanos gone, the threat dead, Peter back—the next years could have been. He could have helped the world recover. And himself.

You’re so right. It makes me sad too. He deserved better, after everything.
