Young professional groups are not only beneficial for young adults, but also for growing communities, like Storm Lake. Read further, and see all of the opportunities and benefits for a young professionals group and what is happening right here in your community.
Young Professional groups allow access to opportunities to young adults in one place and right in their very own community. Networking and basic business knowledge are some of the most important skills for young professionals and are hard to obtain without proper practice. Many of the skills taught and practiced through young professionals groups are skills you hear about in the classroom, but are difficult to understand or succeed at without practical experience.
By attending Young Professionals  of Storm Lake events and seminars, you will have the opportunity to gain business skills and network with employers in the community, guest speakers, and other young professionals who all share common goals. These opportunities expose young, professionals to many career opportunities, and can open doors of possibilities for each individual. Through the combination networking and high community involvement, young professionals learn the importance of giving back. This experience offers the opportunity for members to contribute to Storm Lake.
Young Professionals of Storm Lake currently hosts events once a month. Upcoming events for the spring include a volunteer event with the Upper Des Moines Food Pantry in May and a social golf outing in June. Check out Young Professionals of Storm Lake on Facebook to stay up to date with events and opportunities for young professionals.
