Netanyahu now acknowledges the intent that prevailed from the outset: complete control of Gaza. The displaced are already forced to live in only 25% of Gaza, and now Israel wants to reduce that to 0%. The Israeli colonial settlement project can only be completed through the annihilation of the Palestinians. They have destroyed the infrastructure, devastated the environment, killed people, starved children, and continue to commit heinous crimes against the entire Palestinian people and the people of Gaza in general. This is truly horrific and we must not remain silent about it.

i hate seeing feral cats.

not for the normal reasons, but because i see myself in them.

theyre alone out there. cold and alone and scared in a world they were never built for.

even the ones who have never had a home know somewhere deep in their guts that this isnt right, im sure.

but, if you took them indoors, could they be happy?

could they truly ever settle in and be happy? fulfilled?

would they not dream of adventure? of open skies? of grass?

its whats best for them, yes, its what would make them happiest. but can they ever feel it to its fullest extent?

born and raised within a home. beige walls and ceiling are my skyline. dirty carpet is my grass.

but i am the outdoor cat.

i can walk beyond the carpet. i can see beyond the walls.

and i wouldnt be happy out there. not like this. not after a life indoors.

but i can hear the cicadas sing to me every night.

the crickets join in their choir, birds as well.

maybe a cat or two.

just for a moment, id like to forget my upbringing.

and be happy out there.

Call me whatever names you wish, but I think this is a much better (and healthier) attitude than “anyone under 18 should never be allowed to see any sexual imagery ever”

(For reference: this was at the Tom of Finland exhibition, containing actual, queer, kinky af pornography. There were definitely some young people there, perhaps in their late teens. There was even a parent with their baby who was probably too young to understand anything at all. And guess what, all those people are probably going to be fine.)
