I'm just gonna ask if what are your thoughts about this new chapter and your thoughts abour the next chapter? I mean this chapter is so intense that I want to know asap what's gonna happen next. Yoneda sensei is so awesome!

God, I have so many thoughts and feelings about this chapter, I don’t even know where to begin! lol There’s so much going on, I’m again in awe of Yoneda-sensei’s storytelling! What a ride she’s taking us on with this manga! I don’t have the energy to write a proper post today, so I’ll just throw some of my thoughts out there in random order.

I’m in love with this chapter! It’s so intense! I feel like Sensei took her time to secretly lay out a net beneath our feet all along, and now she suddenly pulled the strings, so we’re all caught in it, and nobody knows what’s going on and how to get out anymore. LOL

I’m so happy that we get to see so much of Yashiro. He looks amazing in every single panel! I wonder if Kageyama lent him some of Kuga’s styling wax so he could fix his fluffy hair, because it looks like his business hair again. Either this, or Nanahara and Sugimoto have an emergency kit of Yashiro’s preferred products readily at hand (or in their cars) at all times. ;)

I also wonder if Yashiro sent one of them to get him a suit from his apartment, or if he just ordered someone to buy him a new shirt. I guess Kageyama’s shirts would be too big for him, but there should be shops around the area. He also had a new vest though, so maybe someone did make a trip to his apartment after all.

I wish we could have seen him change into the new shirt in front of Kageyama, but unfortunately he’s already dressed when the scene switches to the clinic. :( Btw where is the boyfriend shirt now? Will Kageyama wash it and fold it and give it back to Doumeki when he next sees him? ^^; Oh, how I wish Yashiro is still wearing it underneath his dress shirt, where Doumeki will find it when he next unpacks him! >///

Everyone else is looking their best too in this chapter (with the exception of poor Sugi-chan maybe who actually looks quite miserable). Misumi’s angry face is HOT! Of course Doumeki’s level of hotness defies all competition! What I didn’t expect though, was, how fucking hot Tsunakawa (aka Golf Buddy) looks in a suit and a black shirt! He’s in just one panel, but I seriously had to stop reading to stare at him for a while lol! I hope he stays on the right side of the war, so I won’t have to hate him later. After this chapter I’m shipping him with Amou btw! I hope we‘ll get to see how they first met. Maybe they studied at the same university together? Anyway, I’m really looking forward to more Tsunakawa in the future.

Then there’s Nanahara, of course! Someone give my precious boy a medal for being such a loyal underling and taking each of Yashiro’s kicks with grace like a gentleman! Yashiro, please don’t be so hard on him. I know you mean well, but at least don’t say any more mean things to him. He cares so much about you, and even let’s you sit on him. If this isn’t love, what is? TTTT

The more I think about it, the more I feel that Yashiro would make a great heroine in a shojo manga! Totally oblivious to the feelings of all the men around her, and always in need to be saved in her constant and selfless efforts to bring happiness to everyone around her. Now I want to see him in a dress, smoking a cigarette. I’m sure, Doumeki would think he looks beautiful. =D

Speaking of selfless … Yashiro was talking about a simple solution to this messed up situation, and I can’t help but think that he has made peace with the thought that he won’t make it out of this Yakuza war alive. If Misumi cuts him off and he loses the protection of his group, he’ll be an easy prey for the remaining Gouda guys (and Hirata) who will no doubt hunt him down and leave him dead in some dark alley. No wonder Misumi was so upset with him.

I love Amou’s practical way of thinking. I’m sure he doesn’t want Yashiro to be killed, and will find a way to kick him out on the street and into Doumeki’s arms safely. Anyway, this is the first time Sensei specifically mentions the option of Yashiro leaving the Yakuza, so now I’m more convinced than ever that this is what will happen in the end.

But this also means that I don’t want Doumeki to kill anyone. As much as I wish he could take revenge on Inami, if he kills him, he’s officially a criminal and I don’t think Sensei would let him get away with murder. She’s not idealizing the Yakuza world, so he would probably end up in jail again, which is clearly not the happy ending I have in mind for him and Yashiro.

Hirata, despite being his usual asshole self, is in just as much trouble as Yashiro. His plan to join the Gouda Group failed, Misumi cut him off, so now he’s clinging to his last straw and basically made himself a pawn of Yanagi who is without a doubt just as unscrupulous as him. Oh, and they got Inami on their side now too, all of which worries me deeply. I just hope Inami doesn’t involve Doumeki’s mother and sister in the conflict, because I’m sure he has the means to find them.

I’m waiting for Tomoko to come back onto the stage tbh. I wonder how her appearance will affect Hirata and Misumi.

And let’s not forget about Doumeki, the hero of the day! Yashiro would be dead now if Doumeki hadn’t forced Chestnut to give him the car! I don’t even want to think about it! I’m just soooo relieved that he found Yashiro so quickly, before he could go on his suicide mission. I don’t even know what Yashiro had planned, but he was obviously about to drive his damn car despite being hardly able to stand on his own two feet. He can’t even drive when he’s healthy and sober! Imagine him behind the wheel in his current state and under the influence of pain killers. He would have gotten himself killed in a car accident before he even reached his destination.

So bless you Doumeki for protecting him just in time! You rock!

I also really loved how he threw Yashiro onto the passenger seat. The soundword in that scene is usually used for throwing something away casually, so Doumeki literally threw the love of his life into the car like a piece of garbage. He’s so fucking over Yashiro’s bullshit! I’m sorry, Yashiro, but you deserved it. XDD

So where will they go now? I have no idea tbh. I doubt Doumeki wants to help Yashiro fight Hirata. The logic choice would be to bring him somewhere safe and keep him there far away from trouble. I hope Yashiro has some handcuffs in the car, so Doumeki can tie him to his arm when he sleeps. Because you can bet he won’t make the same mistake twice! This means they should be together now for a while, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Speaking of handcuffs, I wonder what Doumeki did with Chestnut? Did he just drop him off somewhere, or is he in the trunk tied up like a Christmas present? óò

I guess this got long enough now. And to be honest, I have no idea yet what might happen in the next chapter. I just hope that Yashiro and Doumeki will spend it in a lonely cottage somewhere in the countryside far far away from the Yakuza, just the two of them and their feelings for each other. LOL

Chapter 31 in Bullet Points

Saezuru chapter 31 came out in Japan today, and things are starting to spiral out of control! It’s intense, I can tell you that. And to say that Yashiro is in deep shit is an understatement! The Yakuza plot is about to turn into a full-fledged Takeshi Kitano movie, and there’s a lot of it again. But Yashiro, Misumi, Nanahara and Doumeki all have their moments. It will take me a while to write up the summary, so here are the main details/ events:

The chapter has 31 pages! The teaser page with Doumeki is NOT the last page, but almost.

We now have an open Yakuza war.

Nakamoto, the boss of the Gouda Group is no more. He got killed by Hirata’s men.

Hirata blames Yashiro for the massacre and spreads the rumour everywhere.

Everyone left of the Gouda Group is now after Yashiro!

Also, my biggest fear came true: Inami (the cop who got beat up by Doumeki) is back, and guess on whose side.

Misumi knows that Hirata is responsible for everything, and now has no other choice than to get directly involved in the war if he wants to save Yashiro’s life.

But Hirata killed everyone who could possibly serve as a witness in the drug deal and Gouda mess, so now it’s his word against Yashiro’s in front of the Doushinkai executives.

Yashiro gets informed about the rumours by Nanahara, but pretends to be unfazed as always.

He asks Misumi to cut ties with him and kick him out of the group, as things will only get worse if he keeps trying to protect him. Misumi gets mad at Yashiro for saying that.

Sugimoto suffers a shot in his leg when the Shinseikai office is being attacked by former Gouda Group members.

He makes it back to Kageyama’s clinic where Yashiro and Nanahara are, but tells them that he was probably followed by someone.

Yashiro is only waiting for his car to arrive, with the full intention to leave Nanahara and Sugimoto behind at the clinic.

Nanahara tries to stop him, but Yashiro kicks him in the stomach and leaves him writhing on the floor.

The kick probably tore his own wound open again, because he feels dizzy when he steps out of the clinic to get into his car that just arrived.

He sees Doumeki in the driver’s seat and freezes.

A motorcycle pulls up from behind and Yashiro almost gets shot, but Doumeki pulls him to the ground instantly and covers him with his body.

He pushes (throws?) Yashiro into the car and takes off with him.

Yashiro has a long WTF moment as he stares at Doumeki from the passenger seat.

The foreplay is over, Saezuru fandom! This chapter will make you sweat, for different reasons than before!

Edit: I forgot an important detail! Yashiro got a change of clothes before Doumeki arrived, so Doumeki didn’t get to see him in his shirt. Damn! Lol
