It takes 30 seconds, and could mean that nearly 100 students get to continue making music.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT MUSIC READ THIS PLEASE
Hi everybody! I know it’s been a very long time since I’ve posted to this blog, but a lot of things have happened and I need your help! I am currently a student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia, Canada. I have been studying music (specifically flute) for the last year at said institution. About a week ago, our program was completely blindsided by the higher-ups of the school completel suspending all intake for students next year. This means that they will not be holding auditions, and nobody will be permitted to start taking music courses come next fall. They have done this because of a severe debt that they worked themselves into, and it seems like music is taking all the brunt of this. How can you help? Go on twitter and, using the hashtag #kpumusicmakenoise, write a sentence or two on HOW music is important in your communities, and HOW inclusive music programs are important to society. Help us make noise! (i’ll also send you a recording of me playing My Heart Will Go On if you want)
