thinking about how i'd collected over 1000 posts for deleted-stim-gifs, and meticulously left a like on posts i'd already reblogged so i would know... and it's all gone.... honestly making me fucking sick to my stomach

been noticing some stimboard makers not being as diligent as they could be in sourcing original providers so i just want to put this out there. linking to someone who has used someone else’s gif only obscures the original source if that link in the chain gets deleted / they have also not properly sourced.

yes, nobody can stop you, but it does discourage gif makers from continuing to share what they do! footage i’ve personally recorded has also gone uncredited. if you like a gif so much that you use it, i hope you’ll take some extra time to properly respect that person’s time too. <3

Credit me, always. Proper credit in stimboards is linking back to the post where I posted it. Do not do other shit like just @'ing my entire blog, "ask me for the source!", "source in tags" etc, that is not proper crediting.

"But now that your blog got deleted this means links are broken!" Yes. I'm aware. It's still not proper credit to obfuscate the source<3

Tumblr just deleted my entire account. Because one sideblog had a risque post. I am. waiting on an email back from Tumblr, but I'm honestly not holding my breath. even when people's blogs are deactivated unfairly, Tumblr likes to be completely unhelpful, so I really don't think I have much of a chance if I technically did break the rules.
