I had a friend on here years ago, they are trans and I remember it was when they were trying to ban trans ppl from joining the army in the US dyring trump first presidency and I remeber trying to play devil advicate on the situation because I was dumb and naive and thought that for some reason the people in power wouldn't be able to do something just because they wanted and that such a big thing was surely supported by facts and reason. I think I brought up conservative talking points too at some point. I often still think about that, how dumb I was, but mostly how much I must've hurt that person by using such talking points to them, a trans person.

I still think about that quite often and wish I could apologise. I know it's probably very self-centered, I probably want to apologise just because I feel bad because this person probably has already forgotten about my existence and doesn't remeber that this happened nor do they give a fuck about my apology but yeah, I just feel bad for having been such an awful friend. I think we still talked after that for a while but I can't remeber.
