Sorry if the text makes things jumbled, but what the old man is telling Egret is that Caveclan was basically landlocked between dangerous mountains and the other clan territories. Had things been different, Silverdash probably would have taken the kits away from the clans before he died- but he had no idea that half of the clans had basically died out once the war subsided- in his mind, he was going to be trekking through enemy territory, and didn't think he'd be able to defend his children against any warriors he might encounter- but he sadly died before he could discover the truth.

I'm pretty psyched about getting part two of moon 4 out soon just because it gives some context to WHY Silverdash just left his kids alone instead of trying to take them somewhere safe- and it also explains the territory layout in simple terms.

And now any confused readers will understand why I called it Caveclan the first page- Literally tho when I made the clangen I didn't take into account i'd made their camp the mountain cave and I felt like I had to address why they'd have a random ass name like Fireclan. Because it was a nation named by traumatized children!

Well I intended to have Moon 3 out this morning before work but then the cramp time hit and had me in the fetal position for a few hours. Hopefully tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Also theres like. Thirty of yall already. Jeebus. But I'm genuinely happy that anyone would be interested in my goobers.

I'm also suffering from story fidgets, FireClan is around 140 moons deep now and shits wild- I'm itching to be drawing the drama but i gotta be patient.
