I’ve said this for years. I don’t do resolutions. At least not really. Never stack the deck against yourself that early in the year. That way lies madness.

What I “DO” do is resolve to do what everyone “should” be able to do.

Just try to suck less in the new year.

Even at my worst, even at my most broken, I can always manage that. 2024? Wow! Still finding new people with new ways to hurt me! that's pretty sweet!

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh! Shitshow. Plain and simple. Got to see my family, which is always the best. Still having fun raising my angry potato bunny daughter, Scottie (SCOTTIE!) Lopperman. But depression was BAD this year. Just in a fog for a large portion of the year. New meds helping the brain fog at least. But I weeble and I continue to not fall down. "W"s all around.

I'd be lying if I said I was optimistic about the state of the world going into next year, but as Brother Ace said.

Don't lose your kindness. Take care of the weak and help each other. And don't stop trying to be friendly with people from other countries. No matter how many times you're disappointed. That is my unchanging wish. But until then. Thank you for being in my life, thank you for being a friend. And know even if I have a hard time saying it sometimes, because I have a hard time saying it to myself as well, know that you are always loved and always far more special than you’re ever going to know. Take care of each other and take care of yourself.
