This movie is great. Commentary on post-soviet Russia and how shitty it is. Makes me appreciate life a little more. It’s one of those movies where you wish you could just help the main character. Pull them out of the story and just allow them to live a better life. Each turn you kind of put you hands over your eyes wishing they would go right when you know they’re going left. At the same time I got so connected with Lilya and Volodya which I suppose makes it that much harder to watch.

After I wrote the Leatherhead script I got really interested in writing a darker TMNT series. I finished three episodes (and a prologue), but this is the only one I’ve gone back and edited to my liking. This is not connected in any way to the Leatherhead script and the story/dialogue is entirely my own (not adapted). I don’t know if I’ll go back and edit the other one’s, right now I want to focus on writing either a feature, or a few short scripts that I have ideas for. Either way I’m looking through Tumblr pictures, getting inspired and wanting to make something interesting, entirely original, and something I can shoot.

This script was written by my 19 year old self in Portland, Oregon over the summer of 2017. I hand’t finished a script in ages and I was enrolled in a screenwriting class taught by Randall Jahnson of “The Doors” biopic fame. I needed something to write, but I had writers block like a motherfucker because I was putting too much pressure on myself. The story is adapted from an old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic that was found in a dusty basement years ago. I am under no false pretenses that this is a good script. It’s not. But I’m proud of it because it allowed me to write during a weird time in my life that involved breakups, transferring schools, meeting new friends, being angry a lot, being a really unpleasant person and a lot more. Anyway, here’s this story about four turtles and an alligator in New York.

I feel like I’ve heard this song before. Or they sound like someone else, but I just can’t really put my finger on it. Hopefully I never find the other song so I can still enjoy this one lol

I don’t get sick of his accent on this album and that’s all I really needed to fully appreciate his music. This album is the best of the year so far.
