you know what I really love self insert culture… I love the “tag urself I’m…” trend, I love the “look at my bf/gf/bff/..” trend when reblogging pics of your faves and saying stuff like “this is a picture of our first date…” etc etc, I love that self- or reader-insert fics and fanart exist and that people make all these reactions/imagines and whatever else, because it means you’re recognizing yourself and you’re deeming yourself worthy of inserting yourself in the universes you love so much and let yourself interact with the people you look up to and it makes me smile when I see ppl talking about themselves  so idgaf if others call any of that cringey because i think it’s a nice tool for us to get closer to ourselves and to put ourselves out there and even if  it’s in a sarcastic or slightly negative way you’re still talking about yourself and your feelings and that’s a Good Thing imo

things i noticed from seeing dear evan hansen

-“this was just a sad invention” connor is on stage just looking at evan and walks out -zoe says that connor would scream and bang on her door saying that he was going to kill her for no reason -and he did go to rehab? cynthia said she FOUGHT for rehab and therapy -“a MILLION different ways, and i did, etc.” heidi sounded the most amazing i’ve ever heard her, her emphasis on the “million” was incredible and it was loud and i was crying -in sincerely me, CONNOR JUMPS LIKE MARIO WHEN HES LIKE “i’m getting better every day !” -connor puts emphasis on words like DICK or CRACK or FUCK -jareds “you’re such a freak” to connor sounded like he was scared? he ran off stage really quickly -connors pause after the school shooter joke was so loNg it was terrifying -in the you will be found reprise, larry actually breaks down, he looks like he’s in actual pain -apparently jared is acting similarly in good for you? i didn’t notice kali did tho -the MAKEOUT SCENES WITH EVAN AND ZOE ARE SO INTENSE ITS LIKE THEY ARE GONNA FUCK ONSTAGE -bens face after jared says that their secret emails are for them sending pictures of their penises to eachother is like 😬 -heidi sounded more hurt than angry that evan had been staying over the murphys -she did this little dance in the first chorus of good for you -THE WAY HEIDI HOLDS EVAN IN SO BIG SO SMALL MAKES MY HEART SAD -evan did the thing where he makes his voice super rough and fast All Throughout The Musical -mike faists smile -THEY USE ACTUAL SHAVING CREAM FOR TO BREAK IN A GLOVE AND EVAN IS RUBBING IT INNTO THE GLOVEE -cynthia says something about the wine they’re drinking being imported from right outside of portland?? tHey Might Live In Oregon -when zoe sang the part “you were not the monster that i knew”, the way she says monster is heart wrenching you can hear her pain in it -i don’t remember which cast member said it, but they said connor wouldn’t have twitter which is WRONF bc alana @‘s him in a scene and it’s @connormurphy
