So what was the most unusual/hardest spot to have located a body during your time as a detective im asking for a friend
Tumblr media
Oh, I’ve seen all sorts. Unsurprisingly, people go to great lengths to avoid being convicted for murder.
Tumblr media
… But funnily enough, the body that was hidden in the strangest place of all was a living one. A musician by the stage name of Lamiroir, in fact.
Tumblr media
She was knocked her unconscious and bundled her into a guitar case, of all places. A guitar case! It’s lucky we found her when we did.
Tumblr media
… You’d better not be plotting anything untoward, by the way. I’ll know.

Let's say hypothetically I were to poison this one very pretentious and annoying rockstar, what poison would be best for having either immediate effects or little to no trace? Or... both even?
Tumblr media
Wh-Why, that’s an awfully specific hypothetical!
Tumblr media
I can’t answer that, you know. I’m a member of law enforcement, not a criminal.
Tumblr media
… Unless you just mean you’re looking to give a certain someone a very nasty but very temporary stomachache! I’d be happy to assist.

Heya Ms. Skye! I'm a huge fan of your work!
I would like to ask, have there been any strange/uncommon substances you've come across during any of your investigations? Like perhaps a rare poison?
If so, I would love to know all the details, like the effects, color, texture, how you find out what it was, everything! Thanks so much!!
Tumblr media
Heheh! Now that’s a scientific question if ever I’ve heard one. Unf— er, fortunately, poisonings are getting rarer these days. I’ve only come across a handful in my career, so they’re always memorable.
Tumblr media
My most recent encounter was with a compound called phycticialine. It has a light gray, slightly watery appearance in its natural state. If ingested in a large enough quantity, it can cause convulsions and asphyxiation, resulting in death within a matter of minutes!
Tumblr media
Because it doesn’t work in small amounts like a lot of poisons, it’s tricky to disguise, so it’s a pretty uncommon choice. I guess our culprit must’ve had their reasons.
Tumblr media
We identified it using gas chromatography, by the way. Apparently it can also be detected through its bubblegum-like flavor, but… I wouldn’t know...
Tumblr media
… Because I didn’t taste it. I didn’t!

— Video Transcript—
Hi there! Detective Ema Skye here. If you’re watching this video, chances are I’m the lead forensic investigator in your local precinct. Well, things are changing around here. Since my promotion, I've been travelling around nonstop. You'd think I'd be busy, but I also have a lot more free time on my hands … There’s only so much science you can do on a plane, you know. Anyway, I thought I’d use my time to spread the word about my job … what goes down, what the day-to-day life of a world class forensic investigator looks like… a sort of pro-bono Q&A! You lucky things. Just hit that ask button with 🅰️ and let the scientific questions flow! Easy as pie. Pick your poison - fingerprinting, luminol testing, X-ray spectroscopy, toxicology screening… blood splatter interpretation, DNA analysis, cr—
(cameraman): Ahem.
Can it, you. Can’t you see I’m talking here?
(cameraman): Eep!
Point is, no matter the inquiry, Ema Skye is on the case! I’m looking forward to hearing what you come up with. See you around!
