Decided to watch Hiro of the Rails again and drew these two. Also I'm in love with how I made human Hiro 🤧. He's so fking cute. Then there's Spencer looking like the snobby rich boyo he is.

Edward HCS

Edward's the oldest out of their group. He's 27.

Edward decided to go to college a little bit later than most having to take around three years off.

Edward's Mom is a Baker who owns her own bake shop and that's how he met Henry when they were kids.

Edward's never really gotten to know his father. According to his mother he wasn't missing a lot and that his father never wanted to be around them.

He did take a few years from coming to college because he did meet someone and he thought that he was going to spend the rest of his life with them.

Let's just say they're relationship was...toxic to a T.

Edward will never talk about it not even with Henry.

Edward's a Culinary major with a art degree as his other major. He doesn't really know what he's going to do but he tries to pretend like he knows what he's doing.

Way before Gordon or James came into the picture it was just Henry and him.

They would constantly hang out in one of their rooms and Henry being the affectionate one that he is they would often cuddle.

Edward's fallen asleep plenty of times like this.

When Gordon did finally come around Edward thought that he was quite rude never saying thank you and always acting like he was more important.

Edward eventually was told why Gordon acted like that and then he understood.

As the oldest Edward did take it upon himself to watch over Gordon whenever Spencer came around.

Him and Gordon did date for a little while. Gordon was the one to ask him out which he thought was really surprising.

Edward eventually did cut it off. He never told Gordon why but he just felt like he wasn't ready for a very long relationship again. Not after the last one.

He knew Gordon was incredibly upset which did really hurt Edward but decided to give him some space.

Around this time was when he signed up to have a roommate in his dorm.

Not soon after they had Gordon in the group. Henry brought in James.

Edward felt dread wash over him seeing James' look of a lovesick puppy and the fact that he was looking at him.

Edward never said anything about this and pretended not to notice. He needed to focus on his college and not trying to get into another relationship.

Eventually after several months. Edward had seen James' display on him asking Edward out.

Edward couldn't help but laugh as he was splattered with red and blue paint finding it rather adorable how James did all this and how James was really flustered. No one had ever done something like this for him.

Edward did try to get some paint off of James' face and that's where James grabbed Edward's hand gently and asked him out.

Edward knew that he should've said no but the way James was looking at him like that...he didn't want to let him down so he said yes.

After awhile in the relationship they got into a huge arguement. Edward had been rather distant and James wanted to know why.

Edward eventually broke down saying how he wasn't sure if he was ready for this and he explained how his old relationship before he came to college was.

He was surprised seeing James so calm about this. James was never really so calm he was always so loud which caused a shiver come through Edward.

After a long talk everything after that was much better.

Edward tries to hide it but if he's really busy with college he'll start looking incredibly tired and becomes some of a smart ass.

There was one time that Gordon tried to mess with him and according to his words Gordon's never seen anyone that looked so much like a "angry lion that hasn't been fed for days".

(Alright I'll leave that for the first wave of Edward hcs.)

)Because I feel like writing angst tonight here's a short story on how Edward and Gordon broke up.)

"Wait. What?" Gordon had heard Edward's words but he really didn't want to believe him. "Gordon I can't be with you anymore. I'm sorry but I just can't." Edward said messing with his tie as he looked down at the floor. He felt bad about doing this to Gordon but everything was telling him he had to call it off. That it was done. Gordon deserved someone better. Not...him. "Edward please. If I've upset or hurt you in any way...please just...I can't lose you too. You're the first good thing that's happened to me in so long. Edward I need you. Please..." Gordon was crouched down in front of Edward taking his hand into his. The hand holding that used to make them both feel so happy and safe. The thing they used to do all the time. Now this felt like a lifeline for Gordon to hold onto. He needed Edward desperately he'd break without him. Hell he was already breaking tears in his eyes and some of them falling. He looked like a big wounded dog. "Please Edward say something." Gordon's voice shook. Edward wasn't even looking at him now. Edward's eyes also starting to fill with tears. He had done this to Gordon. He had taken someone that hardly expressed anything but a cold stature made him feel loved and safe and then here he was having him in tears. "There's nothing to say. It's over." Edward said pulling his hand away only for Gordon to reach for it again this time Edward did look at him. What he saw was a broken down man shaking and trembling with tears falling down. Gordon was a mess,"There's no changing your mind. I understand now." Gordon finally said after what felt like minutes of silence. Gordon tried to pull himself together as he stood up,"I want you to know. I'm not angry. I'm hurt. You were my world Edward and I don't know if I can bring myself together again.... I'm sorry I should go." And with that Gordon took his leave out of Edward's dorm. Edward felt his own heart get crushed into pieces as well. He had taken Gordon and had broken him. Broken them. Edward collapsed onto his bed. He buried himself into the sheets the scent of them both in them was so strong that he couldn't help but grip it and sob into them curling up into a ball. He kept trying to tell himself that this would've happened eventually. Yet there was a part of him as well that wanted to just run as fast as he could to Gordon. Apologize and try to make this up to him to make this a bad nightmare. He didn't. That night and for the next several nights both of them would be missing the other so strongly. Yet neither one of them ran to the other. One being insecure about himself and the other respecting the other's wishes of wanting to be apart.

Lemme just say...Edward's voice in the US CGI version kudos to the voice actor cause he sounds so NICE. Like I could fall asleep peacefully listening to him speak it's just calm and cozy sounding.

Henry hcs

Henry is 24. A year older than James. A year younger than Gordon and 3 years younger than Edward.

Henry's parents work as veterinarians and are both really well known.

Henry is the second tallest being around 6 ft. (The tallest being Gordon who's around 6'2).

It's very common for Henry to overthink about everything and get frequent panic attacks.

He's had them so many times that both Edward and Gordon know the signs of when Henry's sending himself into another one.

Henry's a senior in College and his major is a Veternarian .

He does have social anxiety and if he becomes overwhelmed he's usually behind Gordon if he's there.

Henry does wear curlers to bed.

If someone picks or teases Henry about being a scaredy cat Henry does either stand up for himself or gets really quiet it depends on the person.

If Edward's or Gordon's there they instantly become super defensive. Edward trying to comfort Henry and Gordon towering over whoever made Henry upset making sure that they regret it.

Henry's really affectionate to whoever he becomes close to.

He is openly gay.

Henry does enjoy reading, cozy blankets, and tea.

He has so much tea in his kitchen and so much teapots and tea glasses.

His comfort music is Gregory and the Hawk or some sort of lofi.

Him and Edward have known each other since they were kids. Edward's and Henry's Moms often work on making recipes and just visiting each other to the point where Edward and Henry are like brothers.

Henry was the one that introduced Gordon into their small friend group. He was partners with Gordon for one of their classes and while working with him Henry could see right through Gordon's cold stature but never said anything.

Henry was eventually told after Gordon had a panic attack and then he was told everything about Gordon's home life.

As much of a scaredy cat Henry was and how he'd never really say anything out loud he wanted to be around Gordon whenever his brother Spencer would visit just for some support.

Henry also was the one to eventually bring in James to their friend group. Henry had to go to one of his parent's formal dining events and he needed a suit and heard that James was one of the best upcoming designers.

Henry did think James was quite loud and almost backed out of meeting with him several times but he was able to slightly pull himself together just enough to talk with him.

Henry still remembers whenever he brought James to meet Gordon and Edward and how James looked amazed and in love when he saw Edward. He found this cute and would tease him and eventually came up with the idea on how James would ask out Edward.

(Human au hcs)

James comes from a small family where he's the only child.

His mother's a small art store owner that's recently become a big success and as for his Dad he's a fashion designer.

James learned a lot about both from his parents and has a huge love for the two.

Has a huge skin care routine he does every night.

Is an open bisexual.

When James isn't busy with school or hanging out with the rest of the Steam Team he's in his apartment tailoring a nice red outfit for himself or one for his friends.

He didn't join the Steam Team until the very beginning of his sophomore year. The other three had just entered their junior year.

He was introduced to the group by Henry since James had tailored a suit for him.

James was intimidated by Gordon and he found Edward to be really wise but still fun to be around also really attractive.

James doesn't sleep on Campus he has a decent sized apartment/studio close by.

He has a pet cat named Mittens.

It wasn't very long until Henry and Gordon found out about James' small crush on Edward. Gordon never really thought it would actually happen and Henry was James' wingman.

Henry gave James an idea for how James should ask Edward. It involved James painting asking him.

This failed horribly when Edward came into the room a bit too early when James was finishing up causing James to fall and knock the paint buckets all over him and Edward.

James absolutely hated getting paint all over him and his face was red with embarrassment. Edward was the one that picked both of them up and then tried getting the wet paint off James.

Edward thought this whole idea was really cute and fortunately for James Edward agreed to date him.

James eventually came up with an idea for them to get their hair dyed as a couple's idea. Edward wasn't in favor of dying his hair but James was able to convince him to get some streaks of blue in his hair.

James would never admit this out loud especially in front of Edward but he is afraid that Edward will eventually find someone better than him.

When these thoughts get really bad James does try to stand out way more than usual which leads to him getting into trouble.

James also plays video games when he's not doing anything else.

He may have a secret hidden stuffed animal stash somewhere in the studio.

James is often described on campus as someone really loud and likes to show off.

James does have lots of people that he knows wants to be with him and where as he finds it very flattering and that it's understandable cause it's him some of them get too clingy.

Gordon actually had to save him a few times from one of them.
