Her stomach was in knots as she stood wringing her hands in the middle of time square watching as a thousands of people raced around her. Two days. It had been two days since she had been put on a train and sent to New York with a temporary hotel room and an upcoming move in date to NYADA. She had went from getting married to on her own in the one place she had always dreamed to be.

The problem? She had never felt more alone.

She put on a smile every phone call she got. Her dads were to be sending her the rest of the things she needed and she assured them every day they talked that she was happy, that she loved that she was on her own and off to achieve her dreams. The same conversations were had with Kurt, adding a heartfelt wish that he’d move to New York even if he didn’t have a school to go to. 

It was all she wanted to have someone there with her. Making friends had never been her strong suit and as many people as she had met the last two days, not one had felt the least bit welcoming. 

Looking around at the many people she turned to walk back towards her hotel, harshly running into someone standing behind her. “Oh, sorry.” She mumbled as she looked to see who it was.

“...Hey.”

“Well well well, it looks like we have a new student.” Jesse smirked as he leaned against a locker. “I never thought I’d see the day where you actually transferred to Carmel. It’s a shame, really, that I’m a senior and won’t be here to see you transform. This is going to be interesting.”

“It’s always been a dream of mine to go back to Montana and shoot the landscapes. Sort of like Ansel Adams did with his portraits of the west. The only negative is that I don’t want to go back and be sucked into staying forever. My mom would give me the speech, I can hear it already. ‘Madeline Johnson, you haven’t been home in a year since you move to New York. You are not about to leave now.’”

Chelsea tapped her pencil against the table waiting for her meet and greet at Vidcon with a sigh. I had been the longest day of the convention and while as always she was having the best time, she really wanted to sleep and move on her with her lie. She had a slew of videos that she needed to get working on and collaborations to follow up on. When she heard steps she looked up expecting it to be her agent but instead it appeared to be a volunteer. “Oh, I didn’t think we were ready yet.”

Everett almost ran over one of the baristas as he made his way inside the coffee shop. “I’m so so so so sorry, Rach” he said over and over as he sat a little bit out of breath and looked at the petite girl. “Blaine and Kurt were talking about me about flowers and rings and all the wedding stuff and you know they won’t stop!” he apologized over and over. 

“It’s okay! I have only been waiting through a half a cup of coffee, so honestly you’re fine. Now had I of finished we would need to talk.” She teased as she took another sip. “You were bombarded huh? That is very much forgiven.”

Ronnie groaned internally at the use of her given first name. “yea, no one really calls me Veronica. Not unless you are a member of the Jacobs family and really even they don’t associate with me.” she mumbled. “Ronnie, Ronnie Jacobs. I’d say it’s a pleasure to meet you but I don’t tend to believe in things like that.”

Rachel sat in the cafe shop tapping her nails against her cup waiting for her guest to join her, who was late. Sighing she looked out the window and smiled when a hurried blur went by and came inside to sit in front of her. “Finally!”
