Week 6 - RTE Lecture Recap
This week lecture was about Theatre and Hybrid where Sir Fauzy explains on how live theatre performances are on the verge of re-opening. As a result, it might seem that it will soon be time to retire streaming productions.
Continuing to offer streaming services alongside live performances benefits theatres and their patrons. It is true a virtual performance will never be able to take the place of live theatre.
Sir also showed his past project of a Live Audio Visual Performance Inspired by Cycling that was a in 2014 presented as part of South East Asia Arts Festival.

Week 5- Assignment 1 Submission
In this his report, I explore two captivating performance artworks: "No Time. No Future. I'm Here. RIP." by Russian art group 404.zero and "Prologue to Scream" by Malaysian screamo band Akad Fana. Both pieces utilize innovative technology to create immersive experiences that challenge our perception of reality.
404.zero modernizes Plato's Allegory of the Cave with a custom laser array, creating a stunning environment that reflects our dependence on technology. Kinect sensors add an interactive element, deepening the connection between viewers and the artwork.
Akad Fana combines live abstract painting with post-rock music and dynamic lighting. This fusion of art forms creates a multisensory experience that guides the audience's emotions.
Looking Ahead: New Media's Potential
The report highlights the potential for even more innovation in new media art. Imagine lasers transforming galleries into captivating installations or audiences co-creating live paintings! By embracing new technologies and themes, these performances pave the way for the future of new media art.

Week 4 Real Time Expression Recap
This week lecture topic is "A new media approach" where Sir Fauzi is focusing on Live Cinema. Live cinema isn't your typical movie experience. It merges the energy of live performance with the visual storytelling of film. Imagine actors performing alongside projected visuals that react and evolve in real-time, or a story influenced by audience participation through social media or interactive elements. This innovative approach blurs the lines between cinema and theater, creating a unique and immersive experience for the audience.

Week 2 Real Time Expression Recap
In this week real-time expression class, we learned about perception! It's basically how we interpret the world around us through our senses. It's not just a straight transfer of information, though. Our brains are constantly filtering and making sense of what we see, hear, smell, etc. This can be influenced by our past experiences, emotions, and even culture.
On another note, we also explored the concept of a constructive workflow. This basically means creating a process that helps you work efficiently and achieve the best results. A constructive workflow is like a recipe for your creative work. It involves planning your project, using helpful tools, and staying focused. You can get feedback along the way and adjust your approach to make your final masterpiece even better!

Week 1 Real Time Expression Recap
A brief by my lecturer Sir Fauzi Yusoff what will me and my classmate will learn through out this semester in Real Time Expression class. We also did learn a bit about Sir Fauzi background and experience participating in Malaysia art scene. I am very impressed and in fact shocked that I have actually went to one of his work which is at GVF 2023 where he Visual Jockeying the Electric Field stage.
I also get more in depth of what is Performance Art. Basically it's an artwork or art exhibition created through actions executed by the artist or other participants. It may be witnessed live or through documentation, spontaneously developed or written, and is traditionally presented to a public in a fine art context in an interdisciplinary mode. It's important that it involves the basic elements: time, space, body, and presence of the artist, and the relation between the creator and the public.
