[Kwang-Ho Hong] A curtain call of Musical 'The wash' Stage : 10th March 2016 Seoul Korea He looks so sweet. I still can't believe he came back to a small theatre stage. Probably it wouldn't be happened again. It's only for 2 months shows and tickets are extreamely difficult to get though. I'm the one who is desperate to get a ticket. Plz save me :(

I'm so happy that Kwang-Ho came back to Musical ' The wash' in March 2016. It's only for 2 months and I can't get any ticket though. Kwang-Ho's show is so popular, All his show for the first month was sold out in 3 min when the ticket selling was opened. Now the ticket price is 3 times more in black market.

I hope I can watch his show, just once!!! that's all I want.

I HAVE DISCOVERED HONG KWANG-HO

I don’t think I’ve ever been this instantly obsessed with a singer before.

The above song is quite serendipitous- it was originally written in English as part of an adaptation of the Japanese “Death Note” series (about a young man who discovers a Death God’s magical notebook and decides to use it to create a utopia free of criminals, appointing himself executioner and God of the new world). It’s since been performed in Japan and Korea but, frankly the Japanese singers are comparatively unimpressive, not quite having the Broadway kind of voice this was written for. The English version is stronger, but the lyrics don’t quite fit the character in question.

This, seems sure to send chills up the spine even if you’ve never encountered Death Note before. Hong’s voice is soaring, beautiful and powerful, capturing the moment the idealistic boy commits to skydiving off the moral slippery slope with just the hint of a sadistic growl.

(I’ve probably listened to it well over 20 times just since this afternoon).

Hong himself has an impressive track record, playing both the Phantom and Raoul in Phantom, Thuy in Miss Saigon(on West End), Quasimodo in Notre-Dame De Paris, Jekyll in Jekyll and Hyde, and Tobias in Sweeney Todd, among others.

His English is practically flawless as well, as demonstrated by this fantastic rendition of “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables.
