I was watching another mmo playthrough where some characters are objectively better than others statwise and if you wanna compete you gotta just play as one of them and tbh it's nice that unlike most games, assuming it's got proper track, happiness, training, etc. you can pretty much use ANY horse you want and still have a pretty good chance of competing in the PVP aspects of Star Stable. I know sometimes a horse like the pintabians, Jorvik Wilds, etc. will get a bug that gives them an advantage but the ideal that I can use the horse I want to use is so nice even if I get that it's not exactly realistic

Not really the biggest deal but putting the criollo in South Hoof reminded me about how I miss when there was kinda consistency in where horses were placed. Like Steve's farm used to have Lusitano npc horses roaming around and that's what you would find sold there, they put the paso fino there too so it could give the impression that Steve's specializes in Iberian-based horse breeds but then they also put the shire there which feels kinda out of place. And speaking of the shire the fact that they used to be in Jarlasson's farm and had shire npcs there, which implies that the breed was their specialty but now it's just... empty. Similarly, South Hoof always gave the impression that it was pony-based, with the chincoteague, Welsh, and Gotland ponies all being sold there but now the criollo is there too and kinda breaks up the theming. I guess it was inevitable that things would have to change with the addition of so many breeds, though, so i don't really hold it against them. It's just too bad we lost that subtle world-building along the way

I've been waiting for months for the old magical ones to come back into rotation but they just keep releasing new ones??? Plz, i need one of those crusties, just release them from the glue factory already.😭

One trail right after another just seems…boring to me? Like…at least smaller events had something interesting when they came around. The trails are all the same. Get points, get the SAME type of items every time-

I really can't be bothered by these limited-time grinds anymore. It just makes logging on feel like a chore because I'm playing because I HAVE to if I don't wanna miss out rather than because I want to. Like the hollow woods paths are fun because they're long term gameplay that I can do at my own pace, so when I'm doing it I'm doing it because I WANT to. I understand if SSE is trying to give us some content to keep players engaged but FOMO isn't gonna cut it and the burnout it causes actually makes me, ironically, wanna log on even less

I’ll be sad when the winter festival is over. Mainly because SSO has removed pretty much all of the smaller events in between the larger ones, so if you’re caught up on quests, etc…there’s really NOTHING to do anymore. The time in between the bigger events feels so empty and boring now.

I wish sso had new game plus and it annoys me that it doesn't, there are some things in the story that are mentioned like maybe once and there is no way to go back to see all that unless you make a whole new account (and buy sr for it of course)

Clubs that have required specific horses are so stupid. Like it’s effectively pay to join. Get this specific horse worth like 30 USD or you can’t ride with us. Like there’s something so fundamentally wrong with that to me. Even if the club is only for adults, a club in a children’s horse game should not effectively have a $30 paywall.

Yes you can save star coins. But they are at the end of the day a premium currency and you shouldn’t be forced to choose between dropping $30 on the spot or buying nothing you want for over two months just to be part of a club.

The Winter Village just seems kinda…empty to me this year. Not appearance wise, it just feels like it’s missing more to DO, I guess? Or at least more NEW things.

Sometimes I think about how horses become considered outdated over time and i get sad like I used to use my ayla and fawncy in a dressage club back in the day (yeah, I was in a dressage club. Roast me, I deserve it) and sometimes I look back at that and I think it'd be nice to do that again. I still think they're so lovely and graceful even if they're not as up to date as the horses these days. But since the Andalusian model is old and most people don't like them anymore the chances of finding an Andalusian dressage club is slim to none 😭😭😭😭 it's just not faiiiirrrr whyyyy

After seeing the leak of new horses coming next year ngl I know the Andalusian is old but I don't really see the point of updating Gen 3 horses when we know Gen 4 is coming. Even if it's years away, if you already have a horse that fits the up to date models, why remake it when you'll probably have to remake it again for Gen 4 anyway? I didn't like it with the friesian either, but I know it's very special to the community and many people were let down by it, so I understand why they would do a remake. But for the other breeds that don't have that same place in the community, I'd rather wait

I'm sorry, but I don't think the trail blazers are worth it, like at all.😭

Like I want to but the rewards just never seem worth all of the work and hours needed for them. Maybe if they added starcoins in the reward, that way both starriders and non-stariders could earn them, but I highly doubt they would ever do that.
