The Starship Fairytale is my attempt to write fiction with maximum flexibility for my ideas. The core concept is that the starship originates from a post-scarcity HASO/HFY universe with technological capabilities akin to magic, which has survived and incorporated anything that can be imagined from other universes and fictions to improve it. A machine capable of interacting with the fictional nature of reality (pataphysical science, per the SCP wiki and such) serves as the engine, allowing the crew to travel freely between fictions.
Due to the pataphysical nature of the ship, anything is possible, anything can be written, any idea can be explored. Any idea. This is not intended to be a SFW blog, so content may run the gamut of ratings and content warnings. I don't intend to write smut by any means, but i don't mean to pretend to ignore the existence of sex either.
In one story The Starship Fairytale might find itself in a universe of kid friendly pastels and sunshine feelgood fluff, where swearing is a once in a lifetime offense, romance is chaste and sweet at the lewdest, and cartoon violence and conniving villains scheme to do such awful crimes as, gasp, turning the whites of everybody's laundry in town's PINK! THE HORROR!
In another, it might find itself stranded in the grimdark universe of warhammer 40k and all the horrors and violence that such a place entails, trapped in the warp without a way to escape until it can incorporate the technology of the setting's warp drives and gellar fields and drawing unwanted attention from all sides as the crew struggles to survive, though the Fairytale would, of course, rather avoid traveling to such places if it could.
The crew of the Starship Fairytale might also just find themselves in some version of minecraft, or pokemon, or something else with an ordinarily light tone without being too far over in either direction.
