This is not gonna make any sense but I genuinely think that most asexual people experience a much deeper level of intimacy with people than allos do. Something about not needing sex for intimacy makes it so much easier to understand the complexities of being in relationships with other people. Or at least that’s my experience.

you're allowed to identify as asexual because of trauma. you're allowed to identify as asexual because of neurodivergence. it doesn't mean that you "aren't really asexual" or that it's something that needs to be fixed because your lack of sexual attraction was caused by something else. your asexuality doesn't have to be completely disconnected from every other aspect of you to be valid. i'm happy to be sharing this label with you. platonic kiss on the forehead.
