Not what a would usually post but I need to tell artist to block this person

They like make requests over and over again and forces artist to do their requests. They also keep posting the people who blocked them to unblock them. They are also targeting younger artist but as well of older artist. And many of the people who had gained an request from them had blocked them, me including (even tho I have my ask box siding requests closed). They also ignore pinned posts and just hope for free art without paying, which never works. So it's best to block them and just hope to never see them again. You can also look through their blog just seeing all of the people blocking them.

The Explanation for the Gong-Show... a Year Late

Soo, this is late.

This post is to explain what went wrong, and what caused my South Park content to get moved onto a separate account.

A year ago, I had reblogged a post. The current one in the chain before I reblogged it was from a user I followed. Something about marrying the one in your recent gallery. The first picture, I think.

Their recent picture was the Clown from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion's Dollhouse DLC. Fitting for them, at the very least!

So naturally, I used a recent picture to… from my phone.

You can tell where this is going.

Earlier in the day, I had saved images for Halloween backgrounds of the Goth Kids from South Park. The most recent on being of Pete.

Had I known better, I would've gone and saved an image of Post Covid Michael. Then, the weirdness wouldn't have happened and I wouldn't stumble in the post.

My sister pointed out how weird it was. Rightfully so, I believed. So I removed it and stated why.

And this is where it all went wrong…

…Because I used Sticky Notes. A glitchy app that tends to fuck up my words super hard. And holy shit. It fucked up hard. And a part of that was because I wasn't paying attention to what I was typing!

That post read: "Speaking of, I removed that post I reblogged.

I realize now that what I said in that post could be taken out of context and completely wrong.

I do not actually ship myself with any characters from South Park. Only my OC’s, which are around the kids ages (10 each for all 3 of them!). I am sorry if that post most likely caused people to raise any eyebrows.

I should’ve looked for a different character on my phone, haha. ^w^“

And you can see why I got anonymous threats. Two of them from the same user, who used Anon like a pussy.

And clearly, didn't want to tell the Autistic person "Hey! You should probably edit that." Also clearly they have not learned how to use Archive, and look for evidence of the theory. They instead jumped the gun and called me a p3d0 instead of trying to prove that I was one.

If they did, they would've found a reblogged post of me supporting OC x Canon, which was I believe what I was trying to type.

Obviously, I didn't. And they didn't either.

Naturally, I will disprove what I wrote in that second reblog.

"I said I ship my South Park OC’s, who are 10 year olds, with other 10 year olds in South Park. I NEVER SAID I SHIP MY OC’S WITH MYSELF, WHAT THE FUCK." Obviously, I didn't realize what I had typed in Sticky Notes became fucked up. That and I worded it weird. Really fucking weird.

I guess to explain that better, I meant I don't self-ship with characters from South Park. Only my OC's are shipped with characters from South Park.

If that person wanted to tell me I worded it wrong correctly, they wouldn't have sent a death threat and genuinely would've told me "Hey! You fucked up the wording. Maybe edit that before anyone else sees it."

"In that reblog, it said: The person in your recents is who you marry in the next month, or something stupid like that. The reason I deleted it was because of what I said in it AND because it was a goth-KID. No fucking shit I removed it, which should be evidence that I DON’T SUPPORT PRO-SHIPPING, AND ESPECIALLY SELF PRO-SHIPPING."

I mean, this is obvious. If they had looked at my content, they would've seen I am not a pro-shipper.

Hence why that post IS NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO MARK ME AS A P3D0. You need LOTS more evidence before you make an accusation like that. Especially because it needs to be taken seriously. Not like a gun you can shoot at the head of anyone you hate.

Well, it won't matter anymore. The damage has already been done. I guess now you know what happened and my POV of this… gong-show. I guess.

I almost lost my DeviantArt account

Yes, I have screenshots before anyone asks.

So today, I got a Chat from a user I never heard of before. I don't Watch them, nor have I ever seen their posts.

Dropping the colors in Keep Reading. This is serious after all.

So, this is what they sent me. Of course, if it was me, my account would've been banned INSTANTLY. Hopefully. Idfk how DA's banning system works.

Of course, I ask for verification since I was... a tad suspicious.

If you can't see the stats, they aren't important. Because this image of an account IS FAKE.

The banner image especially is fake because that is not DA's default image for a blank banner.

Anyways...

I didn't notice it until now, but I found it convenient that the 'imposter' changed their username.

Because you need CORE to change your username. How do I know this? I have it.

I can't afford it, btw. I just won it in a Diamond Giveaway a month ago. That's why I've had it in case anyone's seen my DA lately.

This, along with the below screenshot, IS THE SCAM. If you go to the linked Discord account, you will lose your account permanently. And then you'll send the scam to everyone you Watch.

Of course my stupid brain said "this seems legit" and I replied with Sure.

Then... I thought "Wait, I should reverse image search this before contacting this person."

And that's what I did!

This user, Lago, had posted a status update of a similar looking image I was sent...

AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED I WAS ABOUT TO BE SCAMMED AND LOSE MY ACCOUNT! I have two-factor enabled, but I was certain the hacker could bypass that.

I saw that another user had commented... and sure enough.

When I sent those last two messages, I was blocked.

And I didn't realize it until this point, but I had effectively dodged a missile.

If you get a Chat like this one on your DA account, engage until they send the images so you can be sure.

If you know the user in these screenshots and have other ways to contact them outside of DeviantArt, please do so. Let them know so they can get back into their account, change their password, and enable two-factor authentication!

If they lost their email too, then they're probably screwed. Nothing they can do but make a new account. Will be unfortunate, but with users like me and Lago posting screenshots, more people could be saved from falling for the scam.

I loathe April Fools Day.

It nearly always seems to be a day for mean-spirited jokes and casual cruelty disguised as humor, and I’m not okay with either.

I like humor. I like comedy. Sometimes I even like physical comedy, as you can see from my Familiar Beasts series.

But if the ‘victim’ of a joke is angry, or scared, or sad, it’s not funny.

So yeah. There will be no pranks here on my blog, on my Patreon, or anywhere else.
