"Well, um... Not really, I suppose," the Arcosian replied sheepishly. "I've never really had a destination in mind to begin with... Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if that counts as 'lost' or not."

Typically Quartz found alleyways in big cities a bit foreboding. They often felt so dark and narrow and eerily quiet compared to the usual hustle and bustle out on the streets. Still, she couldn't help but find this one oddly cozy. She put her previous thought aside for the time being, and instead admired the artwork on the door as the other girl searched for her key.

"...Oh, did you paint this? It's very cute!"

Quartz nodded, waited for the other girl to take the lead, and then promptly followed behind. Her own tail swished along behind her as she moved, seemingly counterbalancing the added weight of the box. Good thing she hadn't been in front— hers was quite a long tail, and its involuntary movement could've easily made it a trip hazard.

"Don't mention it! Better to play it safe. Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt."

Thankfully for Quartz, she wasn't very accident-prone, so even with the large box blocking much of her view of the ground ahead, she still didn't seem too worried about tripping and falling. As they turned the corner into the alleyway, the small Arcosian couldn't help but try to make a little small talk.

"...So, I take it you're from around here, then? This part of town seems lovely!"

It was just before the morning sunrise when the crash occurred— the sky was still dark enough for a white-hot streak of something entering Earth's atmosphere to be visible to a keen eye. Not that there would be many of those awake to watch at this hour... But the thunderous boom of the subsequent impact surely would've been enough to startle at least a few folks awake.

Out in the countryside, fortunately far from anywhere heavily populated, a sizeable crater had been punched into the ground, and within its smoldering center lay a small alien. At a brief glance, one would likely think the fall from space had killed her. Understandable assumption, really— it was a miracle she'd made it all the way to the ground at all, let alone in one piece. But there were still subtle movements one could spot upon closer inspection— the gentle rise and fall of shallow breaths, the faintest twitch of her tail every so often— signs that somehow, against all odds, she was alive. Face-down, unmoving, and clearly quite battered, but alive.

...Definitely seemed like she could use a helping hand, though. She clearly hadn't stuck her landing very well, and the result looked painful, to say the least...

The size made it a bit awkward to hold, and she'd never been the best at heavy lifting, but whatever was inside of this box felt light enough that she could manage it. After taking a moment to adjust her grip, she stood at the ready and looked over to the stranger with a smile.

"...Alright! That's better. Now where are we heading with these?"

Tater was in quite a pickle, trying to carry two boxes. While the boxes weren't particularly heavy, they were rather big so it made it hard for her to see anything in front of her. The observation drew her attention and she shifted to see who it was. She offered a sheepish smile when she saw the stranger and gave a small nod, holding the boxes out to for the other to take the one on top.

"Yeah, I'd really appreciate it."

...so here's a neat little detail about Quartz's design that I don't get to show off very often but still wanted to share :] The healing energy in Quartz's body can occasionally show up in the form of bioluminescent patterns on her skin. The glow it produces is usually so faint that it isn't visible at all unless she's in a very dark environment (i've brightened it up a bit here), but it intensifies when she uses her healing abilities. For example, if she uses her hands to heal someone else's wounds, her palms will glow. The pattern itself isn't constant and it will gently pulse & shift around as the energy flows, but it usually shows up the most on her hands/feet, at the tip of her tail, and in other more touch-sensitive areas like the neck, face & stomach.
