She.
She likes to play out romantic scenes in her head when she’s bored.
Her dream is to be happy.
She still wishes to be called princess by her partner.
While being more like the queen to their king/queen.
She likes empty parking lots at midnight and cuddling her friends.
She loves to court and couple, even if it’s only in her head.

small gestures can be just as touching as big ones. someone remembering your favorite song or holding your hand while walking or just generally being content to exist in your presence because that’s what makes them the happiest

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
So guess who just finished watching Ella Enchanted? Let’s Process
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
THIS FILM HITS EEVRY TIME NO MISSES
So like every other romance indulged and vibrational being, this film is one of my go-tos when I need a little magic in my life.
ALSO THE WAY IT CUTS TO THIS FRAME AS THE NEXT SCENE SEEEEENDS MEEEE like why do we see them walking and then A FULLY BARE CHESTED MAN IN THE WIND AHHHH
I love Ella and Char’s relationship because she is like his Angelica Schuyler. She is smart and passionate and kind while still having a personality of her own. She is the three-dimensional princess. And though she is described as “not like other girls,” I can excuse this because it’s not just that she refuses to be mainstream or whatever. She is not like other girls because she sees the mainstream option as a real problem—the king had enslaved the ogres and had the entire kingdom view them as dangerous creatures. Though, Char has nothing to do with this change, he hasn’t stopped it somehow anyway.
This is why I say their dynamic is much like one we would like kings and queens to have. She teaches him that it is safe to embrace the responsibility handed to you. To be one’s own governance like she is unable to for the larger portion of the film.
More on this later, I just love this film.
AND IT ENDS WITH A MUSICAL NUMBER YAS.
Plus there is tons of jokes I would only get at this age that makes it quite the timeless film. Ugh. Love her.

when a writer is being weird about making the appointed "bottom" of the ship overly feminine, describing them as delicate/small/innocent/helpless/dainty or calling them just straight up feminine in the narration, over and over until you literally can't overlook it any longer and have to confront the fact that this person probably fetishises mlm relationships or just doesn't know how to write a realistic non-het couple
