How waterproof are they? And do they have any favorite weather patterns? Any disliked ones?

(Please note that the Plex in my au has much better intentions with the company/animatronics than the source material)

The DCA at least are 100% waterproof! They’re caretakers first and foremost and a kid dropping a drink on them is bound to happen at some point, so the mechanics in parts and service have made a thick silicone layer that fits over their casing (which also helps with padding them for the kids to be more comfortable touching them/being held by them) There are places to let their heat vent from, but they have to manually open them unless they crash from overheating (then they automatically open)

favorite weather patterns: (given they can’t really go outside, this is more vibes based than anything) ☀️ cooler but clear days, that help keep him from overheating as easily 🌙 loves snow, not enough to be a serious safety risk, but he adores the holiday decorations and pictures of kids playing in the snow 🌚 likes the sound of rain on the roof, but only during days the Plex is closed

disliked weather patterns: ☀️🌙🌚: rain/heavy snow, not because they dislike the rain in particular as much as knowing everyone will come into the Plex with wet shoes…so many people are going to fall, even with the staff bots and wet floor bots trying their best

By nature of being designed as attendants, acts of service feels like a given for all of them, but some more than others

☀️ Quasar Giving: Quasar’s very much a gift giver, most often hand made gifts. He likes to make crafts/art projects to gift to people he cares for (especially knitted or paper craft projects). He’s the only one that fights the “acts of service” role much…he still does it, but he’s usually a bit of a pill about it or does it in a malicious compliance kinda way. He’s generally a little snippy and grumpy, even when he’s being affectionate. Receiving: There’s a part of him really deep down that enjoys acts of service, knowing that someone cares enough to take the time to do or put something together for him. It doesn’t have to be much or a grand gesture and he’d never ask for it. He also really likes being gifted little tokens, especially handmade things. Someone taking the time to make something while thinking of him. Very much “cat that caught the canary” vibes,he’s so smug.

🌙 Umbra

Giving: Umbra’s very into acts of service and regularly does things for those he cares for and acts as a mediator for the group. He’s very into parallel play and just being near someone he cares for without it being overwhelming. He’s very fond of softly singing or reading while around a loved one. Can be a bit awkward but he’s trying his best.

Receiving: Physical touch and someone who’s willing to sit and talk with him go such a long way. A lot of people view him as a bit spooky and try to avoid him. Someone wearing “his” colors/motifs immediately has him smitten So incredibly awkward about it all, despite the thrill that someone’s being so kind and caring.

🌚 Orbit Giving: Acts of service to the extreme, he desperately wants to have more of a caretaker role instead of security and he’s SO excited for the chance to show that he’s capable of it. He’s a huge cuddler and likes to be touching the people he loves as much as possible. Smothering honestly, but in the most loving and positive way. Receiving: Physical touch and spending time together. Orbit’s been pressured to present as the “scary head of security” and he’s a lot bigger than the other animatronics in the Plex (DJ excluded) so he’s used to people being wary of or avoiding him. He’s so flustered, can’t even function. Who knew animatronics could stutter?

I did two casual outfits for each of the currently revealed bots

☀️ Quasar prefers loose, soft fabrics in bright or contrasting colors. He’s fond of crop tops, anything easy to move in is good though. He’s often got old paint splatters from past projects on his clothes, and usually has a box or messenger bag at hand full of crafting supplies. He likes stealing Star’s scrunchies to use as bracelets.

🌙 Umbra prefers snugger fitting full coverage clothing made of soft but thicker fabrics, more often than not in dark colors with lunar/star themes. He likes shoes with a bit of lift/heel, and his favorite accessory is a fidget toy that hangs from his pants almost like a belt chain. He always wears hats/hoods to cover the light sensors on the back of his head, at least under lights.

🌚 Orbit originally prefers very utilitarian and easy to move in clothing, he’s pressured to try to look a bit more intimidating as the head of security, even when he’s “off duty”. He takes to wearing a mix of slightly punk but still utilitarian styles once given the choice, not thinking too deeply about it. Later (after an inciting incident) he tends towards a bit of a “Western style” that’s reminiscent of cowboys without being too obvious about it.

⭐️ Not pictured, Star wears mostly black/gray athletics clothing or loose sweaters. He likes other things, but prioritizes being able to change on his own with limited mobility.

hi i just wanna say I am obsessed with umbras outfit (and him in general) and I'm curious if you have any more outfit ideas for him that you've been chewing on

These are my 3 favorite Umbra outfits so far!! (Excluding his daycare uniform)

He prefers darker colors, snugger fits, and heeled or platform shoes

His favorite accessories are hats (he ends up with quite the collection) and the fidget strap he wears like a wallet chain

As of comic start, none of the animatronics but Orbit have seen more of the outside world than is visible from inside the Plex’s front doors. Orbit can go slightly further out to cater to his security work, but not beyond the Plex property
